April 7, 201511 yr Wow, it does not seem like a month (it probably seems like 6 months to you!)...you are doing great!
April 7, 201511 yr Hell yeah Karl! The first month over and done! What an accomplishment, keep climbing!!!
April 7, 201511 yr Thanks everyone. Yeah, its had the tough moments alright! Think the hardest part of it so far is handling certain situations that would normally be dealt with a smoke - but I'm working around that and have passed through some tricky spots. I have a lot more energy (physical and mentally) which I'm channeling through running and also writing a book - onwards to 2 months! The board has been key, it's great to see people who are just ahead of you in quit time, seeing they are doing it really drives you on ^_^
April 8, 201511 yr Congrats Karl..job well done. I Never thought I'd get to the point that I could feel let alone say..but, it does get easier. Make up your mind that NO SITUATION will ever make you smoke..only you control that. Believe me. Don't let anyone or anything give you an excuse. I made it through a car accident with a death and with the help of QT family did not smoke. There are days yet where my mind hears the junkie thoughts but I keep pushing them away..you can to Guard the Quit Karl and ask for help when you need to..
