September 20Sep 20 I’m in hell. I’m on a quarter of the total amount of Chantix that will eventually be taken and I’m already miserable. My head is buzzing. Feels like I’ve smoked 10 Marlboro reds and I’ve only been on it for 2 day. I haven’t quit yet (I’m tapering cigarettes while higher doses of Chantrix every day. If I feel bad now with .5 a day, what happens when it’s 2 mg a day???
September 20Sep 20 Hey there @Unome sorry to read you are going thru crap and haven't even quit yet. I really can't tell you much about using Chantix as went cold turkey and I was in hell for about 6 months. I'm sure someone will be along soon that can share some Chantix experiences with you. Good luck and I hope you can get this issue sorted out.
September 20Sep 20 I don't recommend Chantix. It made me also feel miserable and puked my brains out on it. Bad stuff! For me anyways and many others in my family. The patch worked for me but it's still not easy as I have fallen off the wagon again. ☹️ Dreams are my dilemma concerning smoking. Always looking or trying to find a smoke. Like you, I struggle to quit again. What did it for me was being hospitalized for 2 weeks without a cigarette and only the "patch" to save me from cravings and withdrawals. Being strong is the key and staying busy away from whatever you smoke. 😄 Wish you luck and hope we can both kick the habit!
Sunday at 03:42 PM5 days Different methods make some initial difference to some people in the very early stages of quitting but that is really just easing the strength and/or frequency of cravings. There is NO magic bullet that will make quitting easy - there just isn't!Yes quitting is difficult particularly in the early stages. You are not only purging nicotine from your body & brain but you are also having to change up your daily routine because you are eliminating having a smoke every 30 minutes or what every your own frequency is so you need to find others things to occupy your mind and hands with. The single most important tool you must have starting out is a rock solid committment to yourself that you WILL quit smoking NO MATTER WHAT!Quitting IS hard but it never killed anyone and that applies to all of us. Continuing to smoke will steal your finances and your health ongoing and likely at an increasing rate as you age - that's a guarantee! Make your choice and follow through with it.
Sunday at 04:56 PM5 days After trying to quit for 50 yrs plus And trying every quit known to man My honest advice is just make that decision never to smoke again And stick to it … no matter what .Yes it hurts for a while .. actually it sucks But when the magic happens … it’s amazin Freedom is the best 🐸

The nausea wasn't easy but it did go away after a while, and the dreams didn't bother me at all. For me it was a wonder drug as it made me forget to smoke. You are supposed to only smoke for the first week. Are you following the directions? I suggest you talk with your doctor since everyone has a different reaction to it.
Monday at 12:41 AM5 days Hi @Unome. I am sorry that you feel so awful. Definitely speak with your doctor about side effects. And if one method doesn't work, try another. The initial stages of quitting are pretty grim no matter what. But they are transient. Sending encouragement your way!
Thursday at 08:56 PM1 day Welcome @Unome and I'm sorry you're going through a hard time on Chantix. I don't have any experience with this but I recommend you have a chat with your doctor about any side effects. Quitting is very hard in the beginning but it's a battle worth fighting through!

Let the champix do its thing and make the smokes taste lit poop. Your turn to fight the mental thing and give the smokes away.Plenty say they don’t like the side effects of champix. I’ve given up smoking before and it’s not the champix that disturbs you it’s just the lack of nicotine. Your body’s not used to that.Tingly fingers and toes. Get used to it it’s caused buy blood flow. The warm fingers and toes is a side effect of no nicotine.Feel a bit light headed. Great. Your body will adjust to more oxygen now the the cigs don’t rob you of it.Get a rush out of a bit of sugar or coffee? Yep that happens when your body’s not awash with nicotine.
