Hello friends,

I extinguished my last cigarette about 20 minutes ago, threw all my smoky clothes in the laundry and took a cleansing hot shower.

Tomorrow is a new day where I will say "no" to nicotine.

I hope your resolve to quit & remain quit isvery strong this time @Pilgrim!

You must know by now that cigs bring nothing good to you. I can assure you that quitting long term will bring all kinds of good to your life. All you need to do is put in the initial work to break free. It will be so worthwhile once you can truly envision yourself as a non-smoker!

G’day

NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever....

(replace Ever with Min,Hour, Day as required.)

Well not tomorrow. Pledge is changed. None of this (replace Ever with min, hour day As required)

Whats needed is to face up to EVER as in FOREVER!
Yep and that means admitting to being an addict.
Not for my me. For you. It’s your pledge not mine.

Gday

No way are you pathetic. Mate …you’re a nicotine  addict like me that’s all.

Of course I would like you to give it away.
What I realy would like for you to be able to give it away before you have to health wise.

Dont want to see you giving it away due to medical problems.

I’ll be here each morning starting the NOPE pledge till I fall off the perch I recon. That’s NOPE for me.
You want to join, comes as a small cost though. No smoking EVER

Sorry to hear that! Every time you quit and go back, you have to go through the horrible withdrawal symptoms.  This is my second and last time quitting because I refuse to go through that hell again!  Have you thought about using the nicotine patch?  Some people on here have used it and have had success.  Why don't you do some research on it, and see if it will be right for you.

Keep off the Merry-Go-Round.  Instead of always running to "try" to catch onto smobriety ... jump on instead, fully committed, and hang on tight NO MATTER WHAT.

You CAN do it too.  Commit/make a promise to yourself and then keep your focus ahead.  No going back.  Believe in yourself.   I hope you reach your "Aha" moment.

Did you quit at night, and smoke in the morning, just wondering as you went 11 hours without smoking.

i quit by putting a patch on half an hour to an hour before getting out of bed in the morning, it gave the patch time to start working, so I didn’t do the usual get up, and smoke.

have you tried NRT, it really takes the edge off the crave, otherwise you are just doing what you always do, and hard to break the cycle.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
