September 29, 201411 yr Did any of you experience messed up periods after you quit. I was always normal evey month and last month I was extremely early and this month I'm late. The possibility of being pregnant is very slim since my husband has a vasectomy several years ago. For any one who did have a messed up cycle, how long did the this continue before they settled back down to normal?
September 29, 201411 yr That is not uncommon at all. A lot of quitters report that they miss a cycle or two after quitting. From what others have reported, it generally works itself out over time. It's crazy what happens to your body while it gets used to not being poisoned every few minutes. :)
September 29, 201411 yr I wouldn't know because I never get my period (my body hates me), but I can imagine that missing a period or being late after quitting is normal. Your body is all out of whack and is changing.
September 29, 201411 yr No womb at the inn. Hopefully others can help. Sorry your cycles messed up tho, I remember that being really annoying. xx
September 29, 201411 yr I was early this month (when I quit) so probably it´s normal. Your body is making a lot of changes to get rid of all the junk and to adjust to a new lifestyle.
September 29, 201411 yr sorry DF cannot help I have not seen a period since I was 29 do not miss them but dont get a chance to celebrate that much ;) I found with most things that were out of whack in the beginning, it all sorts out in the end x
September 29, 201411 yr Yes, DF my period was out of sorts for a few months and my cycle is to the day usually.
September 29, 201411 yr Absolutely! I missed a period completely the first time I quit a couple of years ago. It was the first or second month into my quit. I seriously thought I was pregnant and had poor hubs go to the store for a pregnancy test. LOL! It happended to me again this last time only I was a couple of weeks late. Seriously, this is the only time mine hasn't been like clockwork since I started. (well, except when I was actually pregnant). Scared me half silly that first time! :)
October 1, 201411 yr I am having the same problem, I agree with the ladies here. Our bodies are doing some major renovations and clean ups - maybe just needs some time to heal and get back up and running.
October 4, 201411 yr I did read somewhere that cigarette smoking messes with oestrogen. Unfortunately no part of the body is sacred in regards to smoking effects. Hope it gets better in time like a lot of things that need to rebalance when we quit.
