Another night after the shelter up crying all night bloody hell!

for the dogs I cannot leave but I have to do more

there are loop holes in the system that are flawed and haunts me so instead of crying I am going to take action not ross ;)

I am going to start fundraising and blogging my experiences and eventually maybe something will change

So if you dont see me about much, you know where i am :)

The DSPCA here put the pictures of dogs up that need rehoming desperately before they get put to sleep due to lack of space but it always works, soo many share the pics and so far every dog has gotten a new home so maybe an idea to set up a facebook page and do the same?

I couldn't work there I'd get too emotionally involved, I'd be crying non stop wanting to bring them all home so fair play to you for doing it, it's a very hard thing to do xxx

Love the pics but super sorry you are sad ... Fingers crossed for your fund raising !

Oh, Tracey, I admire you so much for doing this...it is heartbreaking, I know.  Good for you for trying to change things!!

Tracey,

You CAN make a difference. It all has to start somewhere.

I have a hard time volunteering at our shelter. I cannot bear to see the all the animals, who just want to feel loved. And I am the type that will bring them all home. One at a time, mind you.

Our shelter is a no-kill shelter and operates on donations.

They use Facebook to ask for donations and to spotlight dogs who need homes. It works pretty well for them.

For instance, on Tuesday, they will announce on Facebook that it's $2  Tuesday, and ask everyone to please drop off a $2 donation. Everyone can come up with $2, right?

When they run low on cat litter they ask if folks will please just drop off a bag or two of litter.

Just some ideas on how our local shelter is surviving when things get rough.
