DECAFFEINATING!!!

I’ve figured out that I have to cut the caffeine! I’ve reduced my coffee down to a practically tasteless and colorless cup of hot water and it’s too much! The little bit of jitters I get from it is enough to tell my brain that  I am having an anxiety attack even though I’m not, but this has triggered one. 😞 I would have never thought that I was such a weak and feeble minded person. The caffeine will go though because I am determined to overcome my physical and mental addiction to cigarettes! God, I will miss my Cokes though.

When the spirit is willing, the body will follow. You'll do it!

:)

@Gus, I found myself naturally reducing my caffeine from two cups a day down to barely one after quitting. Guess my body doesn't need it so much since quitting 😊

@jillar That’s fantastic! 🤗 It would be so nice to find out that I am just a naturally peppy person without caffeine! It seems that I do remember a girl that was like that long ago. Cigarettes suck!!

Nicotine doubles the rate that the body depletes caffeine.  An ex-smoker consuming the same amount of caffeine after quitting will feel like they have doubled their caffeine consumption.

Probably not a bad idea to cut back on the caffeine when quitting smoking.  Unless you need to stay awake for a while and walk to Pensacola for some reason.

Coke does have a caffeine free option.   I personally can’t tell any difference.
