Spooky? I'm in.

Just one clicked.

Rereading Pearl Buck's Pavilion of Women. Forgot what a good writer she was.

I am reading "Natchez Burning" by Greg Iles....it is really good!

Edited to add:  I did not realize it is the first in a trilogy...so the story just kind of stops without tying everything up.  It was still very good, but I wish I had known!

I'm a fan of Iles, too.

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

Currently reading Joyland by Joe Hill and Stephen King.  Joe Hill is his son, who is also an Writer.  Go figure!

Also have Dr. Sleep and Mr. Mercedes waiting to be read.  Both are Stephen King books.  I've read everything he's written, and have every book he's ever written.  Love his writing.

Action, I've read quite a bit of Dean Koontz as well.  I've read most of the Odd books, and so many others I cannot remember all the names.  But, I really like his writing.

I also like Peter Straub and John Saul.  Also both horror type writers.

If not reading horror, I like true stories, books about the mafia, suspense thriller type, auto-biographies.  I used to read a lot of romance, but that was back when I was just a silly girl :)

Just started Girl in the box. Wow its crazy but good and also a true story.

The Colleen Stan story? I actually read that too. Crazy stuff.

For true crime, the stuff around Stephen Staynor's life is so bizarre/tragic.

I´m quite a bookworm   :umnik2: Right now I´m reading If I stay by Gayle Forman and alternating with And then there was none by Agatha Christie

I read "if I stay" last summer. Has that been made into a movie yet?

I have an MA in lit as well.

Though now my tastes lean far more toward UF.

Never read anything by Agatha Christie though.

I finished Ward 2 South last weekend from Lucy's post earlier. Pretty disturbing stuff!

Currently listening to audible 'Trail Dead' by Melissa Olson.

Jen, I'm pretty sure it's being made into a movie or already has been.

I just finished If I Stay yesterday and am now reading Where She Went and The Rosie Project.

OOOooooOOOOOooooh sounds interesting.... true crime?

Yes, it´s a movie now. I´m looking forward to Where she went.

You might try The man in the brown suit by Agatha Christie, it´s really good.

I've only just started reading Where She Went, but the book has gotten some decent reviews.

I like Joe Hill... LOVE heart shaped box (I think it was his first?) - have you read it?!

Did you like ward 2 south Ava?

It was dark and disturbing-that is for sure I felt like I needed to shower was a brilo pad after ;-)

I have about 500 books on my Kindle TBR. So many freebies available! Wish list is another 112.

Just started, 'Godcorp.'

I don't read fiction. Just rather learn something. I read how to books, manuals, history, or something I feel will teach me something.
Just finished Mansfield Book of Manly Men

It's a book of what a God filled man should know. How to act and qualities to display or possess. I thought from title it might be hokey but it was so good I think I may buy more copies to give to people at certain times.
The cover sums is up "goal of book is simple, I want to identify what a genuine man does, the virtues, the habits, the disciplines, the duties, the actions of true manhood and then call men to do it. "
Single moms- buy this for your young man. Married moms can to, and make the grown man read it first.
It covers lots of subjects from humor, honor, friendship, self education but the important part is it is not a book of proving oneself superior to others including women. It even cover humility. The lesson is more you are your actions. He believes society has turned most men into something less than quality examples. Sports figures compared to men of character. Lots of examples and quotes.
