  6. Such a moving - and motivating - story. Smoking has stolen so much from us, giving us nothing but bondage in return. I am deeply sorry for your losses, Christian… and deeply grateful that you quit “in time” and found us here!

  11. Wow. Fingers crossed that the worst is over. And it’s awesome to talk about our quits with pride! Gone are the days of looking at the floor sheepishly, evading the question, or trying to minimize how much we’re smoking. Proudly proclaiming our quits is another beautiful facet of nonsmoking freedom!
  12. This is a fantastic reminder of the slippery slope, @dvs51. One is too many and 10,000 is never enough. The ONLY thing smoking does for us is make us want to smoke more. Keep the quit!
  13. Congrats on graduating to the decade club, Chris! That’s an amazing achievement. And thanks for the daily NOPEs and all of your support here on the Train. It’s helped me and many others defend our quits.
  14. Hi, Jo. Very glad to hear from you… but I’m so terribly sorry that you’ve had to go through this. It sounds agonizing. Thanks for this info. Smoking poisons our bodies in so many ways… yet another reason to go the NOPE route! Take good care, my dear.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
