  1. @jillarI have tried that, but then the calculations are wrong. I smoke 38 a day, a pack gives me 60 roll ups and costs 12€
  2. Hi, I smoke tobacco. One pack gives me 60 roll ups. But for the ticker I can only do cigarettes and it doesn't say how many are in a pack. How do I get my ticker to show the right amount of money saved etc?
  3. For the past year and a half, I've been trying to quit. It's like I want to quit but when I quit, I don't want to quit. Makes sense? To me, it doesn't really make any sense. My quit date is today, I have 3 left. I will quit around 15:15, Dutch time. That's in roughly 40 minutes. I want to quit for my dog, I promised her. I want to quit so I don't have to spent every single euro I have on tobacco. I want to quit so I can walk up the stairs without feeling like I'm going to die. I love with 4 smokers, so it won't be easy by any means. I'd like to ask for support, if that's alright.
  4. @Doreensfree just the general warnings it comes with. I have an anxiety disorder, so it worries me quickly. @Monathank you for the information. I hope this time will be the final one.
  5. So after failing cold turkey a ton of times and consulting with my doctor multiple times, she has now said I should be ok using the patch. So I just bought my first pack of patches. However, since I've been told horror stories about them, I'm now scared to use them. Any tips?
  6. I think I feel ready to try and quit again. I don't know how I'll get through it. All my attempts have failed in the past. Can't use nrt or meds. So my only way is cold turkey.
  7. I'm almost out of tobacco, I think I will run out somewhere today. I either quit today or tomorrow. Tomorrow is my birthday, but due to the virus no celebrations. I hope I can do it. I feel I need to smoke with every single thing I do.
  8. @Doreensfree it was an interesting read. @catloveryea, I fell off, again. I'll keep trying until it sticks.
  9. I've given myself until 11:45pm to smoke. After that, I quit. I'm done. I want to quit on this date, it's a palindrome and I love that. I don't want to die because of smoking. I will not let that happen. Expect me to be around a LOT.
  10. @Doreensfree reading Allan carr. When I finish that, I will try again, and try to hold on.
  11. That was a really good read. I also stocked up on sugar free lolly's, which I hope will somewhat satisfy the hand mouth thing
  12. @Sazerac you're right. I have had lunch and I didn't smoke. That hasn't happenend since the last time I quit 4 years ago. That's one small victory I think. Its good to know nothing bad can happen from quitting. That clears some of my anxiety.
  13. What happens if I don't watch that? Will something bad happen? (I have an anxiety disorder amongst others, things freak me out easily)
  14. It's like I don't know how to act without smoking?
  15. @Sazerac I want to quit smoking but something in me keeps going "one is ok, you'll feel better." And I feel better, for 5 minutes or so. But then as soon as I put one out, I crave again, instantly. It's a big mental game. I've read so many articles, yet I'm weak.
  16. I had reset the tracker, since I smoked 1. Back on the wagon now.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
