  1. OMG. I was not expecting that.
  2. I tried that also before I found the forum. I thought they were just air and no nicotine. The Juule they have been advertising on t.v. makes it sound like you would be quitting if you use it.

Lilly just moved back to wherever her home was. That was a week or two ago. She said she would be out of touch. She seemed to be finally grasping her quit. Hoping the best for her.
  4. Well that is what it looked like. That is awful. I can not see where anyone would think that is better than smoking.
  5. I have gone by people in cars that I thought were vaping. I can see this huge swirl of thick smoke (like a genie coming out of a bottle. I thought that is what vaping was. Am I wrong.
  6. Good job sticking to your quit. I am glad you had the power to throw them out. Cigarettes do nothing to serve you!
  7. Thank goodness we got this thing moving again. I sure have missed this guy!

That is exactly what you are feeling. Your feelings of self worth are sabotaging your quit. I know you can't go back, while you are driving, and read parts of your journey but you are so full of wisdom and the gift of writing it. I know that you are a wonderful person, worth saving. You have chose a profession that helps others. If you give into these feelings of self doubt and smoke, you would feel such disappointment. Try to think of the huge accomplishment the past ten months have been. You and I are so close in our quit, we are going to make it to that year mark together. Just keep remembering that smoking is behind you and has no place in your future. Hang in there.
  9. You guys are stuck with me. I am still here.
  10. I hear you sweetie. It is the same over here. I hope you have someone going with you while you are trying to navigate this all. Will be praying for better results!!!!
  11. Nope for me!
  12. No help but the forum and cold turkey. Who is best to help an addict? Other addicts. They made me realize I was stronger than my crave. To me it felt like they were able to read between the lines and tap into who I really was. I had smoked for so many years, I had given up on myself. They helped me believe in myself. I am so grateful for their help and want to help others. So glad you have joined the group.
  13. Without people like you, that reach out and support others, I would not be quit. I tried everything from hypnosis to cessation clinics, patches and gum - nothing was successful until I found this forum and received the support of other quitters. They sure carried me across the thresh hold to freedom. Congratulations on you seven years of freedom. I am excited that you will be sharing your wisdom.
  14. Okay, you have me crying happy tears. Sugar Britches is one lucky lady. I know you will have a wonderful life together. So glad your day was so special (70 in Tennessee is pretty nice). I hope you will share pictures of your beautiful bride and you all spiffed up. We may not have been there in person but we were in our hearts. You, dear man, have been an integral part in changing my life and you have made it seem as if we have been friends forever. You deserve nothing more than happiness.
