  9. Hi Linda and sorry to hear about your weekend. I think all of us has a bit of sad somewhere in their life, heck family related, me for sure. So whilst im not going through the same thing, it does resonate. Im so glad you didnt smoke and you know 1 billion percent smoking will not help your situation any!!! You will become a stronger, happier and more confident person if you keep your quit. So just stick with it and stick with us. As for your situation....can you continue like this? Will the brothers help or can you get some outside help? You need to look after yourself too Linda. Im a bit like saz in that id be tempted to tell them to get stuffed. They sound awful and they dont deserve you. Life is shit sometimes isnt it. Ah well. Thanks for sharing and i hope you feel a bit better even just getting it off your chest.

  11. Aw thanks folks. Is it only nine months? I'm still feeling a bit impatient!!! I was ill last week. One day I woke up and my throat was on fire. And I was just thinking, crikey, I cant believe in time gone by I would have smoked in this situation. The thought was insanity, CRINGE and just totally bonkers. Ive been to many a smoke cessation session and I remember two questions they always asked to gauge how addicted I suppose you were to fags was how soon after you first wake up do you smoke - my answer was I pick up a cig and lighter in the same motion as I turn off my alarm. And do you smoke when ill - yes. I think I was a pretty hardcore smoker!!!! But look at me now eh. Just don't give up, just keep trying. And one time, it will just work out for you. I mean, once upon a time I really did think it was the impossible, to quit smoking. But it really is not. Roll on the double digits!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
