  4. Hi linda, click on tickers at the top of the page. Fill in your quit info and click save. The next window that comes up will let you choose which ticker you want. After you choose it copy it and then paste in your signature, click save and that's it. https://www.quittrain.com/topic/12552-good-news/?do=findComment&comment=356395
  5. This time Steve let's get your head in the game. Commit to your quit by filling out your quit date on your profile and getting yourself a ticker for your signature. I loved watching the time, money and cigarettes not smoked add up each day. Plus it showed me what I had to lose should I cave to a crave. Mainly just have faith in yourself that you can do it. Self discipline and stubborn determination will get you through the tough parts. And of course you have us
  6. Great minds think alike, I was thinking this for them too lol. Or the NOPERS. I believe we have a member here named Nopester too.
  7. Except chicks and sticks, guys aren't allowed to play that one so don't even bother looking at it....
  8. That's awesome Linda, one more day and hell week will be done!
  9. Sorry to hear you relapse Steven. Tell me, why no SOS? I know from my own experience that they work but you have to want to save your quit. Where'd you get the cigs? Did you go to the store to get them? If so you had all that time to rethink it and keep your quit. If not, then please throw away all the cigs you have stashed!

  11. I think that's a great plan
  12. Hi John, the only problem with waiting until December is that the year will be over and the 2021 quitters will be coming in. I think for my 2016 Buttkickers we all decided on a name around June or July and any new members that joined we welcomed into the class of 2016 Buttkickers
  13. Congratulations on seven years Paul and thank you for all the support you offer everyone. Glad you have a permanent reminder of Koko

  19. Do what works for you Linda, there is no one size fits all. The end goal is to never smoke again. That being said, I quit cold turkey but we have a lot of successful quitters who used NRT's.
  20. Thanks Jo for your post. I've been thinking the same thing lately. And I believe it was you who made the logo for our 2019 group the Ashkickers Another tool in our arsenal is the bond we form with our fellow quitters who are in the trenches with us. All for one and one for all So here's our class names as asked 2014: the Avengers 2015 the Badashes 2016 the Buttkickers 2017 the Smokebusters 2018 the Ex-Cigutioners or The Resistance So 2020 what's your name?

  23. That was meant more of a joke Steven, just trying to give you a grin
  24. It will pass Steven, the first month is the hardest of them all but it really does go by fast. Anxiety is normal and many of us have dealt with that. If the anxiety gets to be too much you can always give your Dr a call and tell him you've quit. A lot of times they can prescribe a temporary med to ease the anxiety. Or you can do like I did and have a beer or eat an edible lol. All of us here are proof of just how doable quitting is so no need to be nervous, we got your back
  25. Hey steve, just wanted to let you know I merged your two topics together since they were pretty much the same and moved them to the Introductions forum. How are you doing with your quit so far?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
