  1. Today was POETS day... not my usually poets day (Piss Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday) but a real poets day... NOPE... I got caught up in appointments and didn't do a nope but i said it to me and I did not puff, not once, not ever.
  2. Good Morning NOPEsters. Today is looking a bit grey and bruised but it will be a fine day...today is Be A Angel day and all about paying it forward and giving thanks because you never really know when something small and seemingly insignificant that you do changes someone elses life for the better, forever. So even if all you can muster on the kindness scale today is to smile at a stranger, just think that may be the only smile they get for the day or the week even and that little bit of human warmth could be a turning point in their life. So, if your out there reading this and wondering could I quit... of course you can, you are an amazingly strong and powerful person who deserves the confidence, health, and self respect that comes from being smoke free... all you have to do is say NOPE, not on puff ever... make that promise to yourself, just for today, then tomorrow make the promise again. I quit smoking every 24 hours... and just for one day i NOPE... and it has been nearly 9 months since I have had a smoke, but all I care about is today. Do yourself a favour, jump on the Quit Train. So Cas say's nope... and the nicodemon is banished: NOPE... not today, not tomorrow, not ever, forever! Topic of the day: Movies you can watch more than once.
  3. ^^^ That's is 3rd dan black belt creepy.
  4. hmmm I'll have to lift my game... first melbourne comes second, then I do... its a sad depressing time. Peter Mac (cancer hospital) here recommends walnuts and broccoli for anyone having chemo or radiation as the two best foods to eat if you can.
  5. Don't worry @Doreensfree my mum didn't do anything for ours. I had help from grandma and the aunties in the first few years then me and dad totally rocked the costumes... with a big age gap I always organised my little sisters costumes so I have had plenty of practice. One year my brother went as the hulk.... me and my dad made him the best costume, I chopped up some clothes that were getting small and my dad mixed some left over green external house paint with sun cream (cos that's like make up) and covered every exposed surface AND then used black nugget (shoe polish) to turn his blonde hair and eyebrows black.... yeah it came off so easy, NOT... sure he lost a layer or too of skin getting the dad brand face paint off and it was weeks until his hair returned to normal. I'm sure my brother would have preferred a black garbage bag and some red lippy.
  6. @Sslip I didn't think we were living in the past, but living in the now..... what's the point of a re-cap ... next thing you'll be calling me a convict.... ?
  7. @Tammy maybe our Lord Kent has gone into morning for the state of English cricket.... although I think my yellow boys will challenge your men in light blue.
  8. Oh... ignore the evil eyes.. but check out the elf ears I successfully molded & attached with silicone and spirit gum...
  9. OK so this is what she got....
  10. Can't keep the Ashes... Can't win a test match at home.... so @Tammy do you think England is putting all their eggs in the ODI World Cup basket for next year?
  11. Well the Aussie's might have had a butt whooping in the ODIs in England .... but a little Bird told me me mates from India took 10 wickets in a single session in a test match... and India pulled of 300+ scores in both innings... so where is this drumming taking place...oh Trent Bridge....its made some great listening...... So @Tammy how are you enjoying it?? @Sslip with the poms playin this well you might be in for a call up.
