  1. I see you peeking in here @Rozuki!! Coming to rub our faces in the fact that she's going to Megadong's new resort in FL... I suspect (don't want to start any rumors) that it's her excuse to run off with the pool boy... It worked...I'm jealous?
  2. Congratulations on 1 month, @Pumpkin! We can only hope you are still NOPE in your life even if you can't log on here. Come by and say hi and let us know how awesome your new smoke-free life is treating you!!
  3. Congrats TobacNo! I got you a reward, but you have to come check in to get it...
  4. 2 months ALREADY!! Shout it out!! Feel good because you are winning! We're all very proud and happily watching you climb; ready to greet you on the lido in 10 short months!
  5. Congratulations Sarge!! 7years is pretty bada××!

? whoops!! Sorry. I'm so bad with numbers...Either way, I already got you a present! I figured you needed a pick me up...I could see the Dutchland glitter clouds from here!! Your doing great, and your right in this fact: You are retraining your brain. The brain is very stubborn, tricky, and loves to take the easy way out...it will eventually learn the new way of doing things...some just take longer than others. I would have sent pancakes with the coffee but the kids ate em as fast as I could make them...all the while singing my favorite song "Mom! Mom!mom!"?
  8. I thought the same!! How exciting!! ...now wondering if he likes being single and how he feels about "brother husbands"? ?

The count down has begun!! Come on 4 monthiversary!! So proud of you, friend! Making breakfast, here's a cuppa to warm you up
  10. Put out my last cigarette the night of May 13th 2017 and woke up a non-smoker Mother's Day the 14th...so that's a year and a half of sweet freedom!! (or almost 2 years as I like to think about it) I freaking love! love! love! my new smoke free life! Something going on in my life...my husband finally has a day job and it's been really nice finally having help with the kids in the evening. And, now that he's quit too; I get double the rewards?
  11. I think Doreensfree is sleeping...party foul for sure!! Gonna get the water guns after her! ...STICK 'EM UP!!
  12. Girl!! Why didn't you tell me?! Jello shots all around!!
  13. Congratulations on deciding to quit again Michelle!! Please put yourself on the top of the list of why you want to quit. While the promise you made to your sister is important; YOU are the most important part of the quit process. I do not have experience with NRT patches, so I can't help in knowing if you will experience too much of the withdrawal process on them. But, as Sazerac suggested, get your quit plan together now, so you are not second guessing yourself when you get to your destination...it will be easy to give yourself an out in a new environment/stressful travel situation. This can be your final quit. Just stop putting those nasty things in your mouth...and never take another puff. Rinse and repeat. You CAN do it!
  14. Oh, been taking pictures with your new phone, I see!!
  15. Thanks...I brought some cockies for dipping!
  16. @johnny5 Thank you for your guidance and encouragement...you are a inspiration and a great mentor. I enjoy your outlook on the quit life ? thanks for all you do here; we all really appreciate you!! Now, it's time to pa-har-tay!! Put a little pep in your step today, friend! 4 years is a great achievement!
  17. That's how it was here! We ended up w 6in (some places 12in drifts) but...? all gone now. Have fun, stay safe and warm!!
  18. Nope!! I'm intrigued! We have chicken flavor crackers but not chips.
  19. The holidays will be so much better without missed moments for smoking!!(and all the stress of thinking you could hide it) You might need family around more than you think as you just experienced a close loss. I know your parents make you nuts, so take your breaks still...make an excuse to go out to the garage and scream into a pillow...go out in the yard and see if you can find a good stick? Enjoy EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. with those grandkids and don't let anyone stop you from giving them all the love and attention they deserve. I'm a little sad I will miss out on the sticky buns. (your husband enjoys them the most, I bet?) Get sassy if you have to...sometimes people get used to walking all over us and won't stop until we stand up for ourselves. My mother in law is like that with her daughters and expected she could give me the same treatment when I married her son, but I set boundries real quick. Now, she doesn't "tell me" to do anything; she asks politely when she talks to me The holidays are just another part of the quit...the things we have to learn to do as a non-smoker and we will do it together!
  20. I want to be normal when I look at things...but the sticks always sabotage me!! Drip, drip!! And, these guys are waaaaay to excited for coffee!!
  21. I saw this on your blog: "And i love this discussion group I want to contribute something good to this forum" It made me think you should head over to the celebrations page and help cheer everyone on! It feels so good to see someone you've been on board with make their milestones and it helps keep the excitement in your own quit (when you start feeling dull) It might spark a little jealousy at first because it will seem like everyone is farther along than you, but it will motivate you to keep your own quit so you can see Jo post your one month soon!
  22. Ahhh! That's where it went!! Spidey says "Thank you!"....(and me too?)
  23. Congratulations!! How exciting!! It feels so good, huh? Do you love it? Tell us more, tell us more!! What's the reward for this awesome achievement? Wear that quit with pride! You've earned it!!
  24. When you start feeling that way (romancing) run thru the list H.A.L.T-- are you hungry, angry, lonely, tired? These are big "triggers" that cause smoking thoughts.
