Hey Doreen ........................... here's your map!!
  3. That horrible "can't continue like this" feeling will soon dissipate and you will be left with just the good things you detailed AG1. That's the beauty of this whole process. Out with the bad and in with the good. The difficult time is temporary but the benefits are permanent!! That's why it's so worth it to just power through that first week of pure hell :) Keep going and you too will see! We don't see the progress day to day as much as we would like but it is gradually happening even when we don't notice it. You'll look back a week from now and realize how much better it is that that first week. It's a long journey but well worth the effort :)

    7 wondering where you were???
  5. Don't forget about your tongue! Bakon wants pics - lol.
  6. How about this? Spider catcher!
  7. So we have a few newbies with us lately and although you're all feeling like your in the depths of hell and struggling with quitting at the moment, I'm sure there are some positive things you've noticed even this early on. Tell us about them. I for one would like to hear about the positive things you're experiencing and the more you focus on those positive things, the easier the fight will be so ...... let's hear from you! I remember when I first quit the one things that stood out in my mind was that that annoying "smoker's cough" was gone almost immediately and the constant clearing my throat before I would speak as well. Gone almost immediately and good riddance as far as I'm concerned!

  9. Yes; celery isn't something I'd expect to be involved with any full blown cursing flip-out. Unless it was being physically used as a weapon?

  12. Yes - the longer I'm here on this board, the more I begin to realize just how shockingly bizarre some of us really are. Love it though; quitting can be FUN!!
  13. You're doing great Pumpkin :) Keep moving forward and resist those urges to smoke. Your addicted brain will test you in more ways than you know in the coming days and weeks. Stay on guard and when the challenges come and fight them as if your life depends on it. In reality, it just might? You have proven you can get through the toughest part of quitting now so build that early quit into something really strong :)

  15. Not all of them ...........................
  16. AG1; this is all normal and will not last much longer with the intensity that you are experiencing now, providing you do not smoke!! That is the key ingredient here - NO SMOKING. That includes e-cigs. Smoking those is virtually the same as cigs. You are going through all the same motions as smoking, even if you have no nicotine in them. Breaking that mental process of smoking is harder and takes longer than just getting the nicotine out of your system. You are 3 days into your quit now? That's pretty much max. discomfort time for most. Just focus on getting through each hour at a time right now. It will get better soon. You are just in the worst part of the process right now. By the way, it's OK to cry and sleep as much as you want during these early days. I know it's tough to function at work and elsewhere in public during these early days. You just have to do the best you can. The only way through this is, you have go through this part. It will be worth it after you're there. This won't last forever, that I promise you. Stay strong Girl and just don't smoke!!
  17. +1 on Canadian Beer  Weed; not legal until July 1, 2018 You can keep the Poutine; Gravy and cheese curds on top of greasy French Fries. Possibly more hazardous to your health than smoking :gagging-928:
