  1. That happens to us all AK. That is the voice you need to ignore to be successful. The longer you turn your back on that demon, the weaker his voice will get. Soon enough, you won't hear him at all. Keep moving forward without cigarettes! Congrats on getting back to it right away. It's the right thing to do.

  3. You didn't let us down as much as you let yourself down AK. I expect you are disappointed in yourself for having caved to the cravings ... deflated even but as others have said, reclaim your pride in accomplishment by learning a valuable lesson from this and get right back on the horse and ride it all the way to the barn this time. You CAN do it, just as many have before you. Relapse doesn't have to mean failure unless you let it be that. Use lessons learned as a stepping stone to a permanent quit!

  16. I'm going with #2 over the number one sports thing.
  17. I found that once I got past a trigger like that it was no longer an issue for me later on so congrats, another one down!
  18. I would echo the improved self esteem thing dullyboi! Once you realize that you can put this nicotine addiction behind you for a better future, you will know that you can do anything you set your mind to. Also, quitting now will allow you to be physically active through the years. OK, you're only 18 now understand that many, many years of smoking will take a heavy toll on you physically down the road so, quit now and avoid that outcome. It's the only viable option for a bright future!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
