  1. Exactly. Same here! I had fun just walking around with my mother and sister and trying different machines. I spent an unhealthy amount of time in there when I smoked. Reason #4,399 why smoking is a bad idea. :)
  2. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....this could go somewhere! Would be so cool!
  3. So very proud of you Jess............I never doubted your quit for a second. Gigi is not a smoker....and will never be again. No room in your life for that nonsense. Way to go!!!!! xo
  4. my kids are grown so it was too late for me when I quit....but my 2 year old granddaughter has not nor will she ever know her mom-mom as a smoker. Of that...I am proud!
  5. haha...Rez...been there done that! I once won 1600 and my addiction was in full force. I use to leave work early and sneak off to the casino by myself....as I walked up to the casino I would see people in uniform...going there by themselves like me....feeding the addiction. I remember feeling a "rush" when I walked through those doors and any problems I had...were left at the door. I didn't know anything except..."kaching!!" hahaha. I am much more controlled now. :)
  6. I went to the Casino yesterday on Mother's day with my mother. It was the first time either of us have been to the casino's as non smokers. (me nearly 3 years and my mom at almost 2) I wasn't worried at this point about it....but I was curious as to how I would feel when I got there. Would I be triggered? Would I be tempted? Will I still enjoy gambling? Seemed to me hitting the buttons with one hand and smoking with the other just went naturally. My experience was this: I wasn't tempted...nor was I disgusted. They had good ventilation in their so the smoke didn't really bother me. What I felt was....indifference. When I was leaving the casino it occured to me that I hadn't given it much thought really. I remember when I smoked I had to find a machine in the smoking section...and now...it's not a concern. I would cash out and get up from a machine and not worry if my cigarette was done or not. Not worry if where I went next allowed smoking. Not worry if I had enough smokes to carry me through my day there (I have a tendency to hang around the casino for hours...so does my mother..another potential addiction. lol ) Not only were either of us NOT affected by smoking or not smoking...but we both won 100 bucks and decided to leave while we were ahead! That never happens! It was a great day! :)
  7. I can't believe i was more afraid of living without smokes than I was afraid of dying from them

To be honest I think I would've been a better mother if I would've put myself first years ago. Hard to take a care of others when you don't take care of yourself. even though you think you're taking good care of your kids I think that if you put yourself first you are in a better position to take better care of them. I know this is a difficult concept for parents with young children to understand but in hindsight I definitely see it would've been best But no matter I did the best that I could with what I knew at the time and my kids turned out pretty good Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and fathers who have to act as mothers

It won't last though, and you will come out of this weekend stronger than ever. have fun and enjoy the new you xo
