Fatigued
Be kind to yourself Our body’s are so messed up when we quit It’s been used to having hundreds of poisons put in x amount of times a day Of course it’s all over the place Stay positive … I know it’s crap but it’s all good 🐸

Coincidentally?
Congrats on 5 Months! You reaped a BIGGIE benefit right off the bat for sure but I would hate you to get into the thinking sink hole further down the line that you were "forced" to quit because of it and you really miss it, etc. Recognize the other benefits as they accrue too. A biggie for me eventually (once the smoke had cleared for a while) was no longer wasting time dedicated for it and thinking about it (do I have enough smokes, can I freely smoke where I'm going, are there going to be any other smokers, do I have to limit/not smoke). All that constant chatter surrounding the addiction in my mind is gone. Whoosh. Priceless.

Fatigued
I was hit pretty hard with brain fog in the initial stage of my quit, probably two or three weeks actually before it started to clear a bit. Made work a struggle and yes ... exhaustion by the end of each day. I just toughed it out and tried to get more rest/sleep when I could. Easy for me to say now but in the grand scheme of things, those quit symptoms do not last all that long and they're simply a trying inconvenience that we must deal with at a time when we'd rather not have to.

Fatigued
Hi Andy, Every quit is different. I was not really more fatigue but very very sleepy. I was an evening smoker and without the nicotine kick I really needed to go to bed early simply because I could not keep my eyes open any longer. That lasted a couple of weeks. If you are concerned then it probably is a good idea to visit your doctor.

Congratulations Stewbum! Five months is a huge accomplishment. Remember to give yourself rewards, especially on tough days. These can be small rewards, just a reminder to your brain that soon your reward center will not be nicotine-centric. The feel-good endorphins will kick in for all the positive stimuli.

I'm back...
Hi JJ Welcome back to the train! I jumped on again 17 days ago. Felt the same embarrassment too, stopped for a few years and restarted for god knows what “good” reason. Anyway, here to stay now and happy to share this carriage and quit journey with you! We will do this 👊🏼

I'm back...
It isn't so much that you are treating QTrain like hop-on, hop-off service, it is YOUR LIFE. If you continue to smoke the hop-on may no longer be an option! Please consider the gravity of your choices. Your quit must be the primary focus, the haps in your life secondary. Nicotine addiction only adds to "depression and stress, etc.". I hope you are continuing to educate yourself about the addiction and find comfort in all of us around here, past and future, who have created a successful quit. This is completely in Your power and you will find your way when you fully commit to Not One Puff Ever. I know damn well it isn't the easiest task; addiction is a bitch, but You can succeed as we have, one day at a time. Sometimes one nano second at a time. You will be amazed at the residual benefits that come with quitting. A pride in yourself, a deep trust in yourself, a kindness towards yourself. You deserve all of this and more. Glad you are here. Do not give up on yourself. S

I'm back...
Hello everyone! I'm back, and hopefully, I'll stay on the train this time. I had a freaky accident in early spring, among other issues, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I let the many excuses (depression, stress, etc.) overpower rational thinking, which led me to relapse. Anyway, fast-forward to three weeks ago things had somewhat settled down after the corrective surgery, and I decided it was time to climb back aboard the Quit Train. I'm now 19 days smoke-free, so I'm dropping in to say hello! Here's hoping I can stay on board this time. I really need to stop treating the Quit Train like a hop-on, hop-off service! 😂🚂” JJ
