Fatigued

Hi all

2.5 weeks in and in general doing ok and on top of the cravings.

However, Im really suffering with fatigue…despite sleeping A LOT more than normal. Having real trouble concentrating at work too.

Its been a crazy and very stressful couple of years before I quit, but I have far less energy than during that period.

Maybe just re-wiring after not having nicotine as a stimulant, maybe after effects of a rough couple of years, maybe worth taking a trip to the docs?

Anyone else felt like this, and how long before it cleared up a bit? I cant remember this from my previous quit

Cheers for your thoughts

I felt this during my quit at times. Work was tough enough without the craves. I know others will respond to your post but 2 and a half weeks is a great start to kicking this habit. Please try to STAY STRONG (it is inside you and you can do this) HANG TOUGH. You should be getting better soon. It is different for all of us but better days are ahead. Best wishes.

Hi Andy,

Every quit is different.

I was not really more fatigue but very very sleepy. I was an evening smoker and without the nicotine kick I really needed to go to bed early simply because I could not keep my eyes open any longer. That lasted a couple of weeks.

If you are concerned then it probably is a good idea to visit your doctor.

I was hit pretty hard with brain fog in the initial stage of my quit, probably two or three weeks actually before it started to clear a bit. Made work a struggle and yes ... exhaustion by the end of each day. I just toughed it out and tried to get more rest/sleep when I could.

Easy for me to say now but in the grand scheme of things, those quit symptoms do not last all that long and they're simply a trying inconvenience that we must deal with at a time when we'd rather not have to.

Be kind to yourself

Our body’s are so messed up when we quit

It’s been used to having hundreds of poisons put in x amount of times a day

Of course it’s all over the place

Stay positive …

I know it’s crap but it’s all good

Thx for your feedback all.

Made a couple of little changes…took my stage 3 (7mg) patch off before going to bed, and stopped drinking coffee after midday. Seems to be helping a bit….Im sure it will get better in time

Onwards and upwards, NOPE! 🙂‍↔️
