  4. Yes, coloring sounds great, and keeps hands busy, that’s a win. i gave myself small treats often, after all, I wasn’t spending £1O a day on cigarettes, so it mounted up quickly. At the end of my first month, I bought myself a Fitbit, as I was walking more. Exercise is great, getting out in the fresh air and going for long walks. Art materials, new clothes, books, or finding a new hobby to engage in. Good for you eating healthier. I have done the same, since April 1st this yr, cut out a lot of rubbish from my diet, UPF crap mainly, feeling loads better and lost weight too …
  5. Great idea .. Anything that keep your hands and brain busy will help
  6. NOPE for today!
  7. @catlover I see your point and you are right it could. I have to find out what kinda treat to get myself after the first 24 hours. I cut out sugary ultra processed junk food and soda about a week ago when I quit drinking and weed again. I'm very low maintenance lol. Not into gadgets or toys. Maybe something simple like coloring or something. I used to be a very good artist. Maybe go back into that.
  8. Quitting for someone else, can make you resentful. Quit for you, and to make your life better. Give it a go, and reward yourself, with lots of treats
  9. @Doreensfree I just started the gum. I am really going to do this. I promised someone long ago and I have to deliver on that finally
  10. Have you considered using a patch or nicotine Gum to help you along . You have to use it carefully. But it might help you over the first hurdle

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
