  6. Glad she's doing well, her curls will grow back soon enough! Good luck with the antibiotics though, dogs are way too clever to be fooled!
  7. NOPE….. just a normal day…. Like normal
  8. Gday had to be done. She had little skin tags, growths that kept getting cut when she was clipped. One got infected, so all were removed. She’s a happy girl again! Now for the game of hide the antibiotic…..

  16. Congratulations @Amy R. 5 years is excellent! Congratulations to your daughter and on your weight loss as well!
  17. That's fantastic @Amy R. It must be amazing to look back at what you've achieved! Not just the no smoking but your weight loss journey too! I can imagine you're super proud of your clever daughter! Reading posts like yours helps a lot with those of us who are in the early stages (like me). I'll 2 weeks smoke free tomorrow. I will admit, January is a dreary month anyway but this takes the biscuit lol Well done and thank you for sharing your journey and giving some of us hope to keep going!
  18. Hi everyone! In 16 days on 01/29/26 I will be 5 years smoke free! I was able to quit cold turkey and haven’t picked up a cigarette or had a craving since. For anyone who is struggling through the first few months of quitting, you GOT this! Just keep reminding yourself of the reasons you’re quitting. Whether it be health, finances, family, whatever. Those reasons matter and you can make it! A little 5 year update on me. I’ve been smoke free (obviously), my daughter has not only graduated high school but will be graduating college early this fall with 2 bachelors degrees (SUPER PROUD), I’ve just celebrated a year dating my bf in December, I hit the gym about 5 days a week and after a long and frustrating road I’ve lost 75 lbs so far. I’m only about halfway through that journey but still…all good things going on!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
