Hi Clement. This resembles my quit. I was about 6 weeks in when I first came here...and almost 5 years later I still lurk in here quite a bit. It does help to get through those rough spots.

Welcome to the Train @ParturMadcap! Glad you found us. Participating in a forum like this absolutely increases the odds of having a successful quit. Addiction likes to isolate us, to create an echo chamber for "stinkin thinkin" that calls us back to smoking. Engaging with fellow quitters is a fantastic antidote... it helps us thru rough times, give us insights, keeps us accountable. And this group will also make you laugh out loud, which is a beautiful thing. Six weeks is fantastic! How long had you been smoking, and what's motivating you to find your forever quit now? Looking forward to seeing you around!!!

Very happy to hear that there are no negative reactions! Hopefully it will stay that way!

Hi everyone, I've spent ages looking for a support forum and you guys look the best fit for me, so here I am. I quit smoking about 6 weeks ago. I look forward to contributing to this group, and getting help when I need it. Clément

Hang in there @Stewbum! Cardiac stuff is scary, but I am glad you are getting yourself an experienced team. Bypass surgeons are hotshots and they know how to help. Something like 400,000 bypasses are done in the US every year, so put yourself in good hands. We’re all pulling for you!

More tests and ER visits and nitro. They want to go back in. Started on new meds and will give it a few days but can't live this way anymore. Looks like I am going to find some better care before the widow maker takes me out. Seattle area is where I am going but will need to move cardiology to Overlake hospital. It's about 60 miles from me. The bypass surgeon that I settled on is also there. The Cath lab can also just start the bypass when I am on the table. Now to go through the work for all of the referrals required. An episode is starting as I am writing this.... I would enjoy being more active here hope y'all understand. KTQ Stew.
