Every couple of months at work we have what's called a Friday focus meeting. As the name might suggest, these are incredibly boring functions. The last one I went to was before I quit smoking, and I had forgotten how antsy I always was. Mostly I thought this was due to the basic nature of the meeting, boring as hell. Turns out that yes it is boring, but most of my anxiety came from wanting to smoke. I haven't been having intense cravings this week. I've liked that a lot. But a couple of hours into the meeting today , wham

Aine,

Yep, you had a light bulb moment and also you are kicking butt whilst looking fantastic with your new hair...

Hey Aine! Or is it Redser?

Glitter gun time?

My craves are like that now. Interesting. Not really craves, just 'faint longings'. Progress, progress.

Hey Aine - I loved that moment when I realised I could sit for more than an hour without spontaneous self combustion ! Didn't make the meetings more interesting - but at least I could smugly look at the squirming smokers ! It is great that you can see cravings as annoying rather than agonising - and it will keep getting better 3daa4cc69413a4a4fda538b0ecb14120_zps9b10

Oh - and when are we seeing the new hair do ??

Woo, good job Aine! I loved how you kicked butt in this situation and didn't let yourself stray from your quit.

I can just imagine how boring that meeting was. I'm yawning thinking about it!
