BIG things happening out of the blue....

am I looking for reasons to cut  my feet out from under myself?

wouldn't be the first time.

don't know when I will get back to this board....  holding on for now.....

NOPE, please,please, please,   NOPE.

I imagine  when I get back here folks will have said kind things.

PLease let me have the wherewithal to get back here.

Things will change...smoking will only allow me to loathe myself and the life I am living.....

I'm sorry your having a hard time ...when we were smokers .....we believed it relieved our stress....

Wrong....I deal with stress in a much calmer way now....

You have to stay strong to win this war....smoking is not on the table no matter what.....

Did I find this easy....some days I clung on by finger nails....I screamed ,I shouted....but didn't smoke....

Do something nice....for you.....

Remember what brought you here....you wanted to be a non smoker...you are my friend...

All you need to do is stay smoke free...

Xxx

Kendra, you've got this.  100%.  Might be rough but it's short-lived.  Square your shoulders, breath deep.

Hiya Kendra...you CAN do this.

It's not easy, but it's super-dooper simple - - No Puff, No Matter What.

Do what it takes to dispel that negative energy.  As long as no one is seriously harmed it's totally fine to freak-out.  Let the beastly emotions run their course because "the only way out is through."  Of the many people who started their quit around your time, you are the only one succeeding.  Keep going!!!  Life will get MORE peaceful as you put more time between you and your last smoke.

Don't fold.

You got this.

Hi Kendra,

I know that things suck sometimes, but it happens to the best of us, and smoking is not the answer (although it sounds like you know this already).

You can do this, you just need to stay strong. You've got a great quit, and you've already done the hard part :good:

Hey Kendra

You have all that you need. I can give you nothing.

You have the wherewithal, the tools and the strength.

You can choose to smoke, you can choose not to.

I know you will choose not to.

Well done for posting...big breath, head down and carry on!

Here, here!!! to ALL the above, Kendra!!! xox

Hello Folks,

Thanks for all the kindnesses and belief in me.   finding it hard to beleive in myself right now.  it'll pass.

got out of the negativity for a bit.....a short respite in the cinema.

I do not smoke.  Freedom is precious to me in many ways.

Dealing, coping ,living with fear and hurt in positive healthy manners is what I am meant to do,learn and who/how i am at heart,  right?

Evelyn was just feeling similarly....it passes, right?.....  sustained high intensity fear and hurt is draining on many levels.

I choose to feel all my feelings...after many years of not making that choice....

they change....hurt still hurts but I learn to adapt to the empty spots left when spirit and love are gone.

only way out is through.....

have kitties, always ~ all ways some rel love....a bit aloof perhaps, but sincere and present.....trying to joke here...

any way...tired. appreciate the words, support, kindnesses.

no hill for a climber, right?   i think i lost my climbing rope....  free climb?  ha ha

You should believe in yourself, you CAN do this. This is one more victory under your belt. Imagine how defeated it feels to relapse-that's not for you, not anymore. Time for you to get healthy and happy. If you face a few bumps in the road that's ok!! I know I did, most of us did I think.

Keep up the good work, and REALLY good on you posting.

Kendra.

Nope is Not One Puff Ever, but the second part of the phrase, often forgotten is 'just for today'

We all quit one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow, just commit to Not One Puff Ever, just for today.

We can scare ourselves with big words and huge targets. No need to. One day at a time Kendra, and it does get better and easier.

You are doing great- keep on going!

I choose to feel all my feelings...after many years of not making that choice....

I think that's an integral part of truly quitting that is too often missed. Good for you for seeing that.

Hi Kendra,

I hope you are feeling better. I didnt read much further into this forum past this post yet, so if Im late..well yanno.

Stress and negativity is no stranger to me. Some days, I hate everything. Everyone. Myself included.

Sometimes things suck so bad you just want to revert to the person you were, the I dont give a ****, Ill back away and go smoke, or drink or whatever you did before to alleviate the pressure.

You can go do that.

Ill never be the person to tell you not to. (these are NOT words of encouragement to go be self destructive).

What I can tell you though, is why would you ever WANT to give up what you worked so hard for, for someone else, or something else?

Youre stronger than you think.

Dont give anything or anyone more power over you, than you.

It aint easy. No one signed up for some of the vomit they are spoon fed daily.

Shits always gonna happen. Life wont stop until you do. Then you wont care. You wont be here.

Might as well be strong and healthy enough physically, mentally, and emotionally to deal with it all, when it comes abruptly.

Its easy to throw deuces then.

Love yourself. Have faith in yourself.

YOU CAN.

<3 Cher.
