Congratulations SD! That is huge.

Thanks All!  😇 I'm certainly feeling and seeing a couple of benefits so far for eg, my skin is looking bright/good if I do say so myself lol, I've more energy than I did during my first month smoke free and I feel the difference when taking a deep breath and feeling the air going into my lungs.

I've had a few horrible urges to smoke, most recently when I thought I was ok being out with smokers/vapers, even in the smoking area 🙃 what possessed me I'll never know lol BUT I got through it! I couldn't wait to go home to stop the temptation! Maybe it was too soon I don't know but noted for next time.  🫠

Thanks for all the support, the distraction of this site helps me,  it's  a reminder to hold myself accountable.

Anyway ramble over,, now onto the 3 month mark! 😊

Initally, I had urges to smoe when I smelled someone smoking nearby but that changed at some point and I now the only urge I get when someone around me is smoking is that I want to hold ny nose closed to avoid the stench so ... take heart @SD2026, you too will likely come to hate that smell of someone smoking around you👍

That makes sense especially as I know the smell of smoke is awful! My mind was playing tricks on me 😊

That was probably the most embarrassing thing to me ... After quitting for awhile I suddenly realized how I smelled to other people after I'd had a smoke 😵‍💫

When we're smoking, we simply can't smell that stale smoke stink on us that every non-smoker can smell. It's so gross 🤢

As a smoker, I just assumed no one could smell smoke on me once I finished smoking a cig, washed my hands and popped a mint into my mouth; 😂

Big congrats on your two month milestone @SD2026!! Woo hoo!! It is a beautiful thing that you are finding your stride. Every time you overcome a testing moment, your quit gets that much stronger. Keep rolling!

Yeah no amount of mint,  perfume sprays will get rid of the smell of smoke!  I always used to pop a spearmint gum, put a fragranced hand cream on and a spritz of perfume thinking I had it sorted lol. I was only fooling myself. 🙃
