February 2Feb 2 Congratulations @SD2026 on 1 month smoke free!🎉 The most difficult month in the quit, IMO. You are doing really well and should be proud of yourself. Stay close to this forum and you will make it to the Lido deck before you know it. Onward to month 2.
February 2Feb 2 Yaaaa @SD2026 You smashed that first month So glad you found us.. Upwards and Onwards
February 2Feb 2 Congratulations on 1 month smoke free @SD2026 You are making it through the toughest part. Keep up the great work.
February 2Feb 2 Thanks All! It sure has been a month of ups and downs but I keep telling myself it can only get better! 😊🤞
February 2Feb 2 Author It does get better @SD2026, each month will get a bit better and by the time you are at a year, you shouldn't have these withdrawal symptoms anymore. You may get an occasional urge but it's much different than the ones you are experiencing now. They are basically few and far between and go away in a few seconds to a couple mins. You will get there, just keep doing what you are doing!!👍😃
February 3Feb 3 Gday A month already…. Moves fast don’t it Keep it up like this and I promise it does get better
February 3Feb 3 That's the worst of quitting done & dusted! 1 whole month smoke free is a huge step forward toward a life time of smoke-free living! You've developed a nice tool kit of quitting tools to fight the sneaky nico demon when he comes calling and trying to get you to abandon your fight. Use every tool in your tool kit to fight for your freedom. You have so much invested and by now you know you CAN make it! Congrats and treat yourself with something very nice to mark this important milestone👍 Edited February 3Feb 3 by Reciprocity
February 3Feb 3 Well done @SD2026!! The first month can be tough at times, but you’ve built some mighty strong quitting muscles! 💪 And the feedom is worth fighting for. You’re on the road now!
February 3Feb 3 Thanks All! I appreciate the great support on this site from you all. 😊 Other positives are I'm using hand cream like it's going out of fashion to aid the hand to mouth habit, so my hands are super soft lol
February 16Feb 16 Congratulations @SD2026 on your 1 month and two weeks quit!🥳 (I'm late in reading this post so I added the two weeks! 🙃) I like your idea about using hand cream to help with the hand to mouth habit! I think it's a lovely idea to have soft hands that smell pretty instead of like cigarettes!🌸
February 16Feb 16 Thanks @Kimberbee! The extra 2 weeks are important so glad you added them! 😉 I'm still using hand cream lots plus added lip balm to the mix, just to spice it up a bit I guess 🙃

That completes the hand to mouth circle! ☺️ I love these ideas and hope other people find out about them so they can use them too! Edited February 16Feb 16 by Kimberbee Added '@SD2026' to message.
