September 23, 2025Sep 23 Hi Alex, Welcome Aboard! I am very glad you have found our site, and you will find a ton of support here, from member advice to so much information on the dangers of smoking, and how to quit successfully. Quitting smoking is a journey that we all know is not an easy one, but it's definitely doable and so worth it in the end. We have quitters here from newbies, such as yourself, all the way up to 20+ years and everything in between. Our best advice for you in the beginning is to come on this site every day, if you can, and do the daily Nope pledge because it will keep you focused. If you ever find yourself where you feel you are going to give in and smoke, there is an SOS section. Since our members are from all over the world, there is usually someone around most of the time. To help you get your mind off of smoking there is a Games section too. The most popular game is Chicks and Sticks, go and check it out, it's a load of fun! Which I see you already found.😃 If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

September 23, 2025Sep 23 Welcome Alex. You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking. Lots of suppoort and knowledge you can gain on this site. Hope you stick around. It is great to have you here.
September 23, 2025Sep 23 Great choice! It appears you have three weeks under your belt already. That's great! Is this your first quit, your tenth quit, or your 100th quit?!? A little smoking history might help AND are you using NRT, meds, or going "smart" turkey? I see you are already participating in the games here which is so much better than bonking your head against the wall! Humor helps. Best wishes.
September 23, 2025Sep 23 Ditching this horrible addiction will reward you with freedom from slavery to smoking. You're doing the best thing for your future. Come to the site often and read, read, read all you can. Knowledge is a powerful tool while quitting! Look forward to seeing you around often @Alexander!!
October 14, 2025Oct 14 Author well smoked forever, I dont' even want to add up the years as I feel it is so embarrassing to me, I don't even want to know. All I want to know is the years free of it or rather at this time the months, which I'm at 1 month and 14 day wooooo hoooooo. I have tried quitting and thought about quitting a bunch of times before, but this time is really different, I am doing it, it has been the longest ever quit for me and I can't go back not ever, nope will not !! Oh so yes Minnie I went cold turkey, I thought about the gums and the patches and all that and thought for me it would be a crutch I didn't want. So thanks all for the inspiration, I feel better each day and feel more and more able to stay this way. woooohooo
