Saw him play Hammer Hall when he was down here years ago...lived on 2minute noodles (ramen) for a month to pay for it.....such a loss...

I saw him here in 2006.  I was working the show as a volunteer at the Contemporary Arts Center. 

It has a very small (200 seat) theater and I got to sit on the side of the stage.

It was incredible.  What a grand gentleman, what a player. The sound was exquisite. 

A night to remember.

 

It's been too long since I posted any Otis Redding here.  There's a simple fix for that...

Not a bad voice to listen to for a 7 hour car trip, even if it was just this one song. RIP Kenny.

 

All of this social distancing stuff made me think of the title of this song.  (Don't Stand So Close To Me)

 

The song itself obviously has nothing to do with Coronavirus but it is stuck in my mind now so I am going to post it.

 

Stay safe people, this Coronavirus stuff is serious but hopefully things will get better in time
