November 8, 20187 yr Nothing like a reminder of last year's fires to finally stress me out enough that I'm thinking about smoking. Wind and massive amounts of smoke in the air have got my anxiety on high alert. I will be strong! I Will Be Strong! I WILL BE STRONG!
November 8, 20187 yr You're NOT going to smoke Dragon, trust yourself! You posted because you want this quit and you're doing great! I'm in California too so I know how stressful it is here with our fires but smoking is only going to put MORE smoke in the air! And we have enough of that already right? November 8, 20187 yr I used my air cigarette during my first months quit. Just pretended I was holding an actual cigarette in my hand and then went through the motions of "smoking" it. It really helped trick my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing when in fact your just taking nice clean deep breaths
November 8, 20187 yr Author I'll try that with my pen. The first week of my quit, I caught myself reaching for the sucker in my mouth like it was a cigarette. It gave me a good laugh. ?
November 8, 20187 yr Give it a try, a lot of us have used pens, straws etc. I liked my invisible one because I like looking stupid lol ? Edited November 8, 20187 yr by jillar
November 8, 20187 yr Author I'm trying the invisible cig. If I give it just the right wrist action, I feel quite hoity-toity, darling.
November 8, 20187 yr Hello Dragon's Fancy, I lived in your county and was on the volunteer fire department....well, EVERYBODY was during the red alert days/weeks/months. The dry hot wind at this time of year makes everyone uptight, animals included. Also, by this time you are really wanting the rainy season to begin...it's November ffs. Please don't use this as an excuse to smoke. There is no reasonable excuse to smoke. There is NO REASON TO SMOKE. You quit smoking ! and you have a precious beautiful quit to protect and honor. I love Jillar's Air Cigarette and the hoity toit-ier the better. Someone here mentioned they used an ink pen and was rewarded with a mouthful of ink so, keep that in mind. Inky lips aren't so hoity toity....lol. Have you written out your Pre-RespondTo Your SOS ? Now would be an excellent time to remind yourself why you quit and re-ignite the passion you have about quitting. The terrifying memories you have about the fires would make anyone freak out. It will take a whole lot of time and many more fire seasons for the memories to not trigger an emotional response. Please be kind to yourself, nurture yourself, reward yourself. Especially after an SOS. You deserve your smoke free life !

You will be happy that you kept the quit. Congrats on a month plus smoke free. You are doing great. Keep the quit.
