  1. Happy Birthday
  2. I finally went back to the Doctors about my Chest Xray from last year and had blood tests done (thinking if anything was really wrong they would call me in) Chest Xray came back clear. Yay lucky me. They don't give you a scan here unless they see something that needs further looking in too. I was called back in to the Doctors for my blood tests which turns out I have an underactive Thyroid. I am not good at having tests done, I always think about how long I have smoked and fear steps in. So I have probably had it for a long time. It comes with all kinds of good things like Fatigue, Poor memory loss of concentration, weight gain, depression. All the things I have blamed stopping smoking for every time I have quit. Now I know why I felt like shit. I have been taking the Pill to make the Thyroid work properly for a month and have lost 1 stone 4 pounds, no exercise and no change in diet. It has made me a lot happier person. And no longer think my quit is harder than everybody else's. On to something silly I have done. When I was at my friends house looking after her boys ( so they couldn't have a big party ) and my friend went to America for a holiday. Everybody smoked and there several times when I just felt like asking for one, in the end I had some lozenges and I am paying for it this week by having craving for nicotine. But at least I didn't smoke. I have realized I can't be round smokers full time. And that's what been going on with me. Special note thank you Doreen and Marti for checking up on me. I am sorry I haven't returned your messages I enjoy the friendship you have offered. I enjoy everybody who is on this board and feel sad when someone slips away Gabby
