  1. I think the thing with quitting is we expect it to be easier than it is, we expect to wake up one morning and go ok I no longer smoke, therefore I will no longer feel the need for a cigarette, I will not have a crave or miss the feeling that a cigarette gave me, but unfortunately its not like that, what gives me hope is seeing quitters further ahead affirming that yes it does get easier and the desire does fade in time. Marti's post is briliant, and we need to remember if we can go 1 hour without a cigarette, we can go another and another, its repeat after me NOPE...........be proud of what you are achieving you are doing fantastic xx

Hi Sweetheart so sorry Im coming in at the tail end again!!! story of my life lol, Addiction is a pain, I relapsed at 7 months and at 3 months and remember 3 months seemed to be a sitckler for a lot of us on here, No man's land it was called, we didn't know where we were where we were going or why we were even here, so glad you reached out and so glad there were so many here to help you through, you should be really proud of yourself, you kicked nicotine's butt. I remember so many quitters here who started with me and who didn't relapse who are now talking about the freedom, it does come, it is hard work, but it is so worth the battling to reach the end goal, I keep telling myself its just thoughts, don't listen to them, and don't give them room to grow, do do ignite the fire. Stand tall and stand proud xxx
  4. Just for today its a NOPE from me xx
  5. F@@k my job , my end of year rating is not being upheld by my company, I always normally achieve an OP (outstanding performance) this year my line manager said I deserved the highest accolade of an EP (Exceptional Performance) which would give me a good pay rise and a one off payment of £500 and he pulled me aside this morn to say they had lowered my EP to an OP and I had to appeal it WTF, have you seen the f@@king appeal form..................why should I have to justify the fact that I have worked my tits off this year!!!!!

  12. Hi Laura sorry to hear you had a horrible day and glad the lady is ok. As you know smoking will not change the situation, it would not have made what happened any different, I have fallen off the train twice over the last year yes the addiction stinks, relapse is awful, but we need to learn to be stronger than the pull than the crave than the belief that "just one" will be ok, because it is all lies. well done for recognising that and for jumping back on, we are all here to help and support you Laura big deep breaths and big hugs coming your way xxx
  13. Hi my lovely, so glad to see you managed to jump straight on, the addiction stinks doesnt it! It really is a case of being stronger than the addiction and realising that its not you who wants to smoke but the addiction making you think that, we gave it room to grow and it grows quickly, when that thought comes into our heads we need to be saying to ourselves that we have got this far in our quit without the need for nicotine so why the hell do we think we need it now, because we most certainly don't. Take this forward now to the level of sticky, you can and you will do this believe in you xxx
