  1. Both of my parents smoked & my "cool" older cousins. My Dad worked for Lucky Strike for a while and had a bunch of stale old packs of smokes in our garage. I started smoking at around age 13. I knew I was addicted when I would smoke those nasty things - he hadn't worked there since I was a small child - that's how long those smokes were in the garage - probably 10 years. OMG - they were sooooo bad. It was much better when I could steal fresh ones from his pack, but when he was working - there I went, sneaking around in those old stale disgusting packs of KOOL & Camel. GAG ME!!! My Dad died from Adenocarcinoma - which is basically cancer spreading all over internally, not knowing where it started. :( He was only 56. Super sucks, cuz he was super awesome. My Mom started smoking in her late 20's, didn't smoke a lot and quit several years ago. She has great long life genes, and is doing pretty well at 72 y/o, but I hear the wheezing in her breath sometimes. :( It doesn't help that she is overweight - but that is another story. My Father-in-law, smoked like a chimney (MIL never smoked). He also quit several years ago - like 10. He was diagnosed with COPD about a 1.5 years ago. At first it wasn't too bad, but now he has to be attached to oxygen 24/7. We went to a family lunch today. He was planning to meet us, but couldn't go because his portable oxygen tank fell over on the way out the door and a part broke, so he had to stay home. We tried to make light of it, saying that he did it on purpose because he didn't like the restaurant we picked. We smiled & kinda laughed, but, yea, bummer moment. Smoking sucks. :(
  2. Here! Happy March 1!!! :)
  3. No more smoking, Rob. Post funny stuff instead. :)
  4. I love this thread too even if i only get here on occasion. I love my shampoo. It is from Origins. I have been using it for years. They used to sell it in big bottles. Now they only sell it in small bottles, online only, but I love it so much, I order 4-6 bottles at a time. I've tried a thousand different shampoos, from cheap to expensive. This is the best! I don't know what I'll do if they discontinue it. For toner, I use witch hazel. Love this too. Cheap, but effective. Plus you can use it for abrasions & scratches. Nice for after shaving. One thing I'd like is a magical eye cream, I have great moisterizing face products (Origins - love Origins :) ), but my eyes are starting to get that puffy tired look. Need some age defying magic. :) lol - we can ask for miracles, right???

Not into dominance & submission & would rather watch things of interest in my own home than in a theater with other people. ;)

I see my quit friends around town too. I'll be like that is "so&so," and I don't really know them at all, but think it is a quit friend. Odd phenomena. :)
  8. It was blue and black for me - but it did switch to gold & white for a moment last night. Very odd. :)
  9. I mean, Chief. ;)
  10. Great to see you, Mike.
  11. Hugs to you and your furry girl! She will feel better soon. Dogs come back quickly once they get through the stuff. :) We have a rescue dog with a bad leg that surgery couldn't fix. Cold days are definitely hard on him, but he still runs around like a crazy person.
  12. I watched the halftime show and some of the plays.
  13. I agree with Babs. We all have a little bad, but most of us won't dare to share. :) And we all love the sex stories. lol
  14. I don't like getting flu shots. My husband and daughter got one this year when they were grocery shopping one night. My husband has not been sick, but says he feels like he has this "cold" like every Monday through Friday. lol. My daughter has had a random stuffy nose and sneezing, but it doesn't progress. My son had a cold in early December, and right now he didn't look so good when I picked him up from school, and he said he didn't feel good (but he has a math test tomorrow - hmmm and math is not going well right now.) And my husband says I'm not compassionate. what evs! I had a pretty bad cold in December. It may have been flu. I felt like crap and lost my voice, but I refuse to believe I or anyone else is sick, so I plowed through til I was better. The one day I tried to stay home and be "sick" I was getting a bunch of emails from work needing help & stuff. I was so mad! I felt like saying. "I'm F-ing sick!" ok. done rambling. :)
  15. Am I an old timer? I have over 1.5 years. :) I don't get here as much as I should or as often as I used to, but I love my QT family. :) Great to see you! Happy you are still smoke free! We miss you!
  16. Happy Recovery, Queen Green! We love you, and you are awesome! :)
  17. So sorry, Jen. Hang in there, okay. Smoking only makes matters worse. Once you overcome smoking, addressing the rest will be easier. I hate those days when everything seems to go wrong. It all seems to happen in phases, right? My dishwasher, my car, my printer at work, my printer at home,my dog and more - all gave me major shit within a few days of each other. I considered smoking for sure, but thankfully didn't have a way to get to the store (car problems) and wouldn't have been able to hide my smoking like I had been able to in the past. Smoking sucks.
  18. Ole'! Bandito!!! :)
  19. Couldn't vote for any. I like mauve. :)
  20. I cracked my chin open a few times when I was a kid and needed stitches. :)
