About Me

Hello, fellow riders. I am an east coast transplant, having been born and raised on the east coast. I am a Jersey girl. I was a wild child, and would even say I was a flower child. After partying like a rock star in my 20’s, came marriage and kids. The kids were great, (3 sons and a daughter), the husband not so much….I divorced him and put myself through Nursing school. I had a nice long career as an RN, and retired as a DON. So, a job well done. Like many healthcare professionals, I was a smoker. Towards the end of my career, I met a super cool guy and eventually married him. He was larger than life and beloved by all. 12 years in, he suddenly dropped dead. That was an awful time. So, I decided to pick up stakes and move to California. That was 6 years ago. After several brief relationships, I met another cool guy. I believe God sent him to me. His name is John. We are 2 peas in a pod. We recently traveled cross country to visit 7 of my 12 grandchildren. My cover pic is from that trek. So, life is good, which is why I want to stick around for awhile. So, I hopped aboard the quit train….

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
