  1. 10 years smoke free today! Amazing how time flies.
  2. Maybe it's because there are fewer and fewer smokers, that need/want to quit.. It's very rare that I even see anyone smoking anymore. And when I do it's usually an older person, not a young one. I think all the quit smoking campaigns and such over the last few decades have finally paid off.
  3. I’m really sorry to hear that.
  4. My calendar reminded me that I've been smoke free for 9 years as of today at 2:30PM CDT. If I hadn't put that reminder in my calendar, I might have forgotten it completely. Where has the time gone? And congratulations to Jillar who quit on the same day I did. Sorry I didn't know your specific time of day. We're both awesome though.
  5. Happens to us all when quitting. None of my dreams could be classified as nightmares. After 8+ years quit, if I dream I'm smoking, I just go with the flow and know I'll be awake soon and still a be non-smoker. Edit: Guess I've been gone too long, my ticker is gone.
  6. Congratulations @jillar
  7. Thank you everyone! I actually forgot the quit day. I knew it was coming but it had slipped my mind, so I'll have to celebrate today. Hope you all get to that point where you don't even think of it anymore, not even the quit date.
  8. Feeling my age.
  9. Hey @jillar. the person who decided to quit the same day as I did. Nice to see you and the other long term quitters still here.
  10. Greetings fellow non-smokers. Been a while since I've logged on. (Glad I had my password written down) I'm retired now, and I came by to say I'm still around and my quit is still intact with 7.5 years now. I still have the occasional dream where I'm smoking, but then I wake up and reality re-asserts itself. I'll try to check in more often in the future.
  11. @jillar Congratulations to you also. We both came to the conclusion that we'd smoked long enough on the same day. @johnny5 Feels good with Tom Hanks cheering me on.
  12. My how time flies. There was a time when I thought I would never quit and now here I am at 7 years quit. Counting my years prior to starting, I’m at about 40% of my life as a non-smoker!
  13. Congratulations Jillar
  14. You mission, if you choose to accept it…. Don’t smoke. 25594 and counting added
  15. Try again. It’s okay
