  16. @PeachFuzz, for me it was simply pretending I was holding an invisible cigarette and then going through the motions of "smoking" it. I'd take nice deep drags (air). I couldn't believe how well it worked at tricking my brain into thinking it was getting the real thing. Some people use cut straws or pens, one gal used licorice whips which I wish I had of thought of lol. But for a lot of us it was a great tool in the first stages of our quits
  17. Nope, haven't seen it yet....
  18. Thanks you guys, I'm having a pretty good day. Got lots of happy birthday texts, including a couple unexpected ones, won $30.00 on a scratcher, my in-laws gave me $20.00 in my card, and my sister surprised me by sending me a throw blanket. Philly cheese steak sandwich for lunch and an edible and a beer! So I'll be in fine form in about 90 minutes lol. Considering I was having a pity party for one yesterday, today has turned out much better

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
