  1. My non-smoking Corgi
  2. I suffered a pretty gnarly injury to my foot last Wednesday playing tennis (partial tear of the plantar fascia) and was told I was pretty much screwed for the next 3-4 months. There's no doubt I won't be playing tennis for a while. I can't run or push off with the ball of my foot, but the good news (and I got this from the Dr yesterday) is that I can ditch my crutches and start stretching and rehabbing my foot. So of course, I head out to the tennis court last night with my hopper and 60 balls and work on my serve for an hour and a half and it went really well. I just have to be careful to stay flat footed. So while I can't actually "play" tennis, I can at least spend the next couple months working on my serve, which will undoubtedly be amazing by the time I am able to play. Sorry, for the rambling, I'm just super excited. :)
  3. I am an Ironman 6 times over. All of them were completed while I was a smoker.
  4. I DID THAT FOR THE KIDS FOR HALLOWEEN!!!* *This is a lie. I did it because I'm an attention whore
  5. Not hating, it's just that I'm not 12 anymore. BURN!
  6. Ugh! If there ever was a drama queen, it would be you. ;) Seriosuly though, I'm so happy to see you posting. You're so wonderful in so many ways and always have positive things to say. You're one of those people that we know has their sticky quit and that's inspirational. Like you, the first thing I do in the morning is log into these message boards. I'm still early in my quit and still need it. I appreciate all you guys and everything you've done to help me along the way. ((((hugs)))
  7. My one and only FB post yesterday...
  8. Sorry, but I'm about as normal as they come. Regular guy here. Nothing to see.....just keep moving....
  9. You'll be glad to be rid of us soon enough. ;)
  10. But now it's "IQUITSMOKINGANDYOUCANTOOBECAUSEIT'SSOAWESOMEANDDON'TYOUTHINKISMELLGOODI'MWEARINGCOCONUTLOTION!"
  11. I need to know who to hang out with. :bb:
  12. Funny, the whole time I've been quit, I've not once thought about how I used to occasionally have to bum a smoke due to running out or being ill-prepared. What a downer it always was and it always made me feel like a loser. Or how about the random stranger coming up "Hey, can I bum a smoke? I"ll give you a quarter"? Which would almost always be followed up with a "Sorry, Broham, this is my last one" (because I'm a cheap bastard.) It's really nice to have that whole uncomfortable bum/barter/buy/sell weirdness behind me. ok, back to my Polish dog.
  13. I better get likes from you!
  14. ''I'm gonna head out for a lung snack" Me - a million times
  15. hahaha! It's good to see a familiar (and slightly less handsome) face! :drinks:
  16. I'm new here, but not too new to quitting. After smoking for 30 years, I'm 3 months quit. I feel fabulous and look forward to getting to know you. A bit about me. I'm handsome to a fault, I enjoy pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. I'm kind of into yoga and I have a huge brain. I've been known to enjoy a good yawn at inappropriate moments and I have three Corgis. Fight the good fight, my friends! NOPE!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
