  1. Joe I'm reporting back on how we are getting on with it... We think it's marvellous and only wish we'd have bought one sooner now. My order of breakfast tea, hot chocolate and Oreo arrived. Those are for the girls and they are very pleased with the taste of them. Lee, and I, have stuck to the different coffee pods we purchased and they also are delicious. Some of the pods are Costa and you can tell, great taste and quality. It's also great as in the coffee packs you get the milk pods too, you pop the milk pod in first and then the coffee. The tea and the American coffee come without milk pods. You can purchase those, however I think I will just purchase a milk heater and frofer, as in the long run it would make better financial sense. So yes, enjoying our purchase very much and I have two kettle coffees a day and my fancy machine one after dinner.
  2. The wax melts, they are not candles, will fill your room with a fabulous fragrance of your choice. Have a Google of wax melt burners....

That's what I love about them that they are on all day. If you do get one let me know how you get on. I purchased some cheap ones, from Home Bargains, and as it turns out their fragrance is stronger than the slightly more expensive Glade and Air wick ones. Really looking forward to getting my hands on some Scentsy ones, tomorrow night, as I was given a trail with a burner and melts back in August. They really were a delicious and beautiful quality fragrance. I just didn't purchased as their melting pots where around £20 plus...I wanted three, too much expense at the time.
  4. I wouldn't have a clue how to get folk to stop. Hints and them seeing your new life style (holidays, not checking where you can go for a puff every five minutes) might motivate? I think it's more a case of when they want to be there to reassure and support them. No one could motivate or get me to stop in all the thirty years. Although Lee did motivate me after yet another phase of nagging (he's a never even tried one) and I did eventually master my sticky quit. However I don't think nagging does work and it didn't work the other hundred times I received it. Just this once I was obviously ready and 'really' wanted to quit with warts and all.

I'm a Yankee fan too however I'm converted to these as they can melt all day, where as I would only light my Yankee at night during cozy tv time. Might be worth a try Doreen? I had a vanilla one on in the kitchen (I personally love vanilla) honestly it just smelt so fab when I would walk into the kitchen. What with that and my full Christmas clean..lol

Anybody else started to use the wax melts to fragrance their rooms? I picked up three Glade wax melt warmers, last week, for only £6 each from B&M stores. I can't stress enough how beautiful it is, to walk into each room downstairs, and inhale the fabulous smell. The actual melts last around three days so have changed mine today, currently have apple and cinnamon in them...lush. My friend is a consultant for a company called Scentsy and is having an open night Monday. Selling off her current stocks at a discounted price...I'm going and can't wait. Although I have picked up very reasonably priced ones from Home Bargains, as the Scentsy ones are high end..and high end prices. They are like the Yankee Candle version of wax melt. Oh and I've learned I can also pop my Yankee candle wax melts in them too. That's good news as one of the Siffords (secret Santa) got me them two years ago...and have been sat in the cupboard. Just thought I'd share in case anybody had not heard of, or used, the wax melts. They get a big thumbs up from me that's for sure.
  7. As Doreen says it's fabulous that you have quit and not waited till you had been smoking for twenty eight years, or more. I don't think or worry about it if I'm honest, what would be the point, as what I've done I've already done. I suppose I just relish the fact that I'm now no longer adding to any damage that I may have caused. General health is much better in fact I had a nasty cold virus and got my first cough, in three years, a month ago. Can not remember the last time I had a cough, this was a cough but not a cough like when I smoked. I think it's likely I've damaged my mental health, by smoking for thirty years (would smoke around 30 a day) I have had unpleasant mental health issues, since stopping, at first I would tell myself it's because I'm not getting all the added extras in cig (the things that they add to antidepressant) Now I think starting smoking actually caused the issue, as I was flooding my brain with the extras, and crap, for thirty years. Mind I'm ok, not on meds, as I recognise the signs and have fabulous ways of managing my mental health so I don't worry about it at all now. So no...I don't worry about it..too late now as damage is done.
  8. Fill your time, as best you can, I found that very helpful indeed. Trust that with time it will get easier, till eventually there is nothing, no void to fill. That's a day under your belt, a day at a time, will read you tomorrow.
  9. He's watching his beloved West Ham on TV...it's foggy and dark but I offer to pick a Megan up from work (big for me, huge as I HATE driving) never driven in the dark and fog before, so ask him to just come to the car to make sure my lights are all ok. Was told "really, they are just about to take a free kick" Furious, seriously furious.
  10. As Doreen says, also can you unzip the any of the cushions from your couch? Pop them in the wash? I must say I was lucky as I never smoked indoors, so didn't have this, would have drove me mad. Scented candles too, especially on a Winters night, that will release a lovely smell. I've just got into Scentsy wax melts and have then on all day, really do make the house smell fabulous Evelyn...have a look out for wax melts, Glade do them at the Supermarket in England.
  11. Great...well keep that frame of mind and if you do feel a bit, you know craving, come and read what you posted her to recharge your fighting thoughts.
  12. Have you stopped smoking now then? I thought you were taking the Champix..letting it do its magic...then quitting Christmas Day. Take care, deep breaths, and as Doreen says contact the doctor if you feel worried.
  13. Bakon and Beacon as we can chat about Westworld and mull over the link I've found on season 2 http://www.slashfilm.com/westworld-season-2-everything-we-know/
  14. Good idea using this topic for a diary, be helpful for you during, and great to look back on in the future. Haven't used Champix (I was a zyban user once) but I'm sure Nancy and a few others had success with it. Rooting for you, you can do this.
  15. Well done on your ten months TAC. What a shame that you're still romancing...however...it should just get weaker and weaker, till one day you could well never imagine you even smoked in the first place. Took me a good while, till my romancing stopped so I just held onto both trust that it would (it did) and time.
  16. Babs....I just like Babs, seems like a good egg to me. Sarge... I can imagine he's a lot of fun, and his wife always looks happy on any photos (in his company) so again another good egg.
  17. How are you getting on Dorabelle?
  18. It's just a mind game really, mind over matter. I found that if I totally distracted myself, physically or research a topic, it did seem to help. You have probably heard this like a million times but be assured all this lark does pass, honestly it does. I'm sure others will be along to post tips that helped them.
  19. Happy Birthday Doreen, another year behind you (smoke free) have a wonderful day xx
  20. Don't ever think that it won't happen to you because it can, and does. Seriously if you're still smoking free yourself....you'll be so glad that you did.
  21. Babs and Bakon have said what I'd have said Petra, so inside I'm just sending you a (((hug))) and a pair of ears (on here) if you ever need them xx
  22. Sadly you do have to syn alcohol Babs. My neighbor likes a glass of wine so she syns her's I use mine on things I do enjoy. I will say I won't be counting a single cocktail syn in July, Tenerife time, that's for sure..lol My friend, who likes a glass each evening, she has lost three stone still having her glass each night. Really pleased for her. My downfall was salted nuts and crisps (chips) mind you, a bag of chips is only five syns (if I pick the right ones) so that leaves me ten syns for cooking treats (love butter and olive oil) or a fun size bar of chocolate..five syns. I can imagine eating this way for life now, I find it very easy and so simple now. Been quite an education that's for sure.
  23. mmm. That does sound a bit like me, in a crisis..lol... will take it as a compliment then.
  24. Yes I thought the bullet hitting the bat was a bit corny too. I don't read the comics so I've struggled a bit this season, it all being a bit disjointed. Although in truth, after what happened, I can see why they all had their own stories/episodes to get us to last nights point. Yes, as you say could even be Dwight as it surely can't be long before he turns and thinks enough is enough. I was talking about this series to a customer today. It's funny because in the life I lead I have never shot a gun, don't own one, and honestly could not imagine killing anybody. Yet, if I was living through what they are I can see how that could change, what choice would you have. I,, at times, find the the characters far more scarey than the actual zombies. Just reminds what an actual easy street life I have. No violence, no threats, no gangs and come and go as I please. I take it for granted if truth be told. I laughed, as my customer then said "oh if the apocalypse did happen, you'd be just like Carol. I didn't quite know if that was a compliment or not..lol
  25. Been on that diet a few times in the past..lol
