Welcome to the QT :) Many of us here couldn't quit until we found the QT, the support and the sometimes (Okay very often) hilarious
distractions have helped former die hard smokers keep their quit for years. I myself couldn't go a few hours without a smoke and even woke up at night to smoke.
A big part of beating this addiction is learning about it and coming up with a gameplan. What will you do if you face a particular smoking trigger? If you are prepared, you won't be caught off guard. There is a lot of information on this site to help you. Everyone here has gone through what you have, so we know what it's like.
A few important things I'd like to point out. NOPE, take the pledge every day, hold yourself accountable. Not One Puff Ever. Feel free to reach out to anyone on the board, newbies can be quit buddies and us oldies while maintaining our quits are also here to pay it forward.
SOS forum, if for any reason you think you might relapse or are having a particularly difficult time post there. You will get immediate responses to help you through it.
Blogs section, post your own if you like or read. Some of us have copied our posts from the first days of our quits..very helpful.
Socializing section, sometimes silly distractions help. In fact, the numbers game helped me a great deal.
Introduce yourself, we are friendly here :)
There is a lot here to read. The most important thing to remember is not to smoke. Run around like a chicken with it's head cut, but do not smoke. Do anything, but smoke. It will get better. I promise :)
