It is Yogi and I am positive my answer is correct.
  7. C'mon on in from the cold. It's much better to quit with support, I can promise you that!
  8. Hi Wendy, Not too sure how old your son is, but I am in the same boat you are. I have a teenager son, due to the new DSMV change he is classifed as Autism Spectrum. Before that, he was PDD-NOS, ADHD combined type, Processing disorder and general disdain for his mother. I swear if I were married, he would not pull half of the intimidating bs he does, but such is my life. Some days, want to pull out my hair, but still I don't smoke. If I can do it, so can you!

  11. So sorry Nancy...Beautiful picture, he looked like a very loving man and his granddaughter clearly adored him. More than one reason here to quit and stay quit!
  12. Welcome Jess :) Glad to have you here...After your first couple of weeks, it's about going through situations your first time as a non-smoker. Please do not hesitate to ever reach out to any of us for support. On the board or through private messages. We have all been through what you are going through. It's gets so much better, I can promise you that. There is a lot of reading about the addiction and this will help you more than you realize. When you just need some distractions, head on over to the social boards and play some games with us...new addictions, healthy addictions :)
  13. Rowly, First of all welcome back to the QT :) Now, I am certain I've said this to you before, but you have to stick with the board. We all have stresses and crap that happens to us, smoking does not make anything better, it actually creates more stress. You cannot snap your fingers and quit, you have to do a little work first. Start by understanding your addiction. There is a wealth of information on this board, read it. Please do not leave the board the first instance that you feel good. That is how you spiral out of control. If you are feeling well, head on over to the social side of the board. That way you are still connected. Tell yourself how bad you want to quit, if you want to quit, you are going to do it. You need to understand though, it is supposed to suck at first and every once in a while after that. Nothing worth doing is easy. This is a journey, not an overnight transformation. Anything worth doing well is like tea, it needs to steep for a while before it is worth drinking. Take your time and enjoy the ride.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
