  1. Enjoy your vacation, Reci!
  2. I still have smoking dreams from time to time. They usually feel like nightmares, especially right after I wake from one. I think it is common for many ex-smokers. I just tell myself there is nothing I can really do about my dreams but as long as I stay smoke-free in the awake world, I am ok.
  3. That's wonderful news! Congratulations Joe!
  4. It blows my mind that you could do a triathlon as a smoker, Jim. I ran cross country in high school but gave up running once I started smoking. Cigarettes took way too much out of me to even think of doing something like what you just described.
  5. You did great, Rose. Every time you fight through a craving or difficult moment like this, your quit gets stronger. This was a huge victory. I'm happy for you. Keep up the great work.
  6. Congratulations Seren! That first month is a huge accomplishment. You should be very proud.
  7. Congratulations Barry. You are doing great, man!
  8. NOPE - never again.
  9. Yep, I suppose you do....not really a power ballad but... Xanadu - Olivia Newton John
  10. Too Late for Love - Def Leppard
  11. Patience - Guns n' Roses
  12. November Rain - Guns n' Roses
  13. Joey - Concrete Blonde
  14. Welcome aboard, Ren, and congrats on quitting smoking. Even though you were a "light" smoker, you never know which of those cigarettes is going to cause irreversible damage. Even smoking a small amount will keep the addiction alive. It is best to give up the smokes completely and I'm glad you have made this decision. Stick close to this site. As others said, educate yourself about nicotine addiction and post about your experiences. There is a lot of support and knowledge you can get here that can help you quit for good.
  15. Congratulations
  16. Congratulations Moom! 8 months smoke free is awesome!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
