October 29, 20178 yr Author What a fantastic night.. Liverpool,s Philharmonic Theatre..blew the roof off... These old foggies ,sure gave it all they had..us 60 year old had a ball...dancing up and down the aisles..mayhem lol.. I wonder if today's artists will still have that effect 40 odd years later... I fear not !!!! On my way home.. I did have a thought 4 years ago if I didn't quit..dancing up and down aisles would have not been possible... I love my quit !!!!!

Keep those handy Doreen. With a bit of paracord I think I can turn those panties into an improvised sail. Always be prepared.

The Quit has far reaching effects, all of which are good. Always something to look forward to in life, good to be around to see it. Today's or any day's artists - They will have that effect on their respective generations. People often think the music they grew up with is somehow "best". For me, that would be the 80's. For you, 60's perhaps? I am not familiar with those bands you went to see.

November 28, 20178 yr LP's ha, ha. I have 45's & 78's still - lol. Can't give those away. Turn tables & LP's are all the rage again with the hipster crowd. Has to be a particular jandra of music tho to be popular these days. Most of the LP's I have you can't give away :(
November 28, 20178 yr That is one thing - when one talks about LP's, the subject of hipsters comes up. I am about as far from such as one gets. The good news though if you have something to play them on, thrift stores often have a lot of stuff mostly from the 60's. Not my bag really, but yeah once in a while I even come across 80's jams. Ain't no hipsterman gonna want my Pat Benatar, Belle Stars, Kim Carnes, or Berlin. Funny thing about that place - there is a sector who are vinyl addicts. SOMEtimes one goes in with a genuine concern that they are addicted to buying LP's. You know what they get told? "I don't see the problem". "Join the club". "I have (umpteen) thousand".
November 28, 20178 yr We ( the wife & I) got most of ours from the wife's parent's house when we cleaned it out last year (Estate sale). I used to have hundreds of albums a long time ago because in the late 60's and early 70's I worked in the music business. In L.A. at first then in N.Y.C. I accumulated hundreds of albums during those years. Some became popular and others never made it beyond first pressing. I sold all those off years ago when we moved houses just because I didn't want to move them with us. There were likely some very obscure albums in the lot that I sold off but I have never regretted it yet anyway
