Working on my cabin of 36 years and preparing it for sale! The future with these heart issues obviously are not going to allow me to continue with the same lifestyle.

My business of 47 years will now go to my son to run and possible also sell. Getting rid of all business equipment and stock collected for all these years is a unsurmountable task.

One last project to complete and that may be it. Not ready to retire but its time to clean house.

All because of the smoking heart!!!

Its a little hard to come on here with depressing comments instead of interjecting happiness and I am sorry for that. Maybe if I can get ahead of the game things will get better but the tasks are very slow.

Luckily family and little Millie give me the breaks and smiles I need.

Sorry to find you in a bad space.

I’ve had a few widow maker experiences that had me unable to work. It was hard to take. A friend offered me a position 3 days a fortnight. Not much money but we got by. Taught me to slow down. Got to see what I actually had. Didn’t like it at the time as it was forced on me. But a lot of life doesn’t get planned it happens.

Never did go back full time. Did get another management position …. Again out of the blue. No plans.

Did it part time. Trained my replacement.

So I got to do the important thing and that was to look after my sweetheart. We didn’t get to do “the big lap” caravan around Australia. We didn’t get a house in the bush like we planned. We got each other. And that was more important than I realised.

Life’s a box of chocolates…… you never know….
