August 28Aug 28 Author I'm doing okay I hope you are well @SD2026 thank you for asking. Your gonna get that message that I quit 24 hours 😏
September 7Sep 7 Author @DenaliBlues I'm doing okay still struggling but I bought some more gum today and started this morning. Doctor says the "widow maker" artery is 70 % blocked so kinda been sitting on that. I go in in two weeks so they can look at all the test and cts to see what exactly is going on and what my options are. Thank you for checking on me 😊

I’m speaking from personal experience here. I often approached quiting like fasting… I was alright cause I knew I’d get a feed in the end. But not smoking will not kill you and you can starve to death. So Pneumonia was the start of my quit. The end quit. Months in I’d found I’d invested so much my quit was so precious to me that I’d admitted to NOPE. Not One Puff Ever. I was that addict and I not only couldn’t take one more puff I didn’t.I’ve had some illness over the 10 plus years now and I recon that not smoking saved my life.
Tuesday at 09:24 PM4 days Author Still been a struggle. I kinda finally realized that the nicotine gum is just a tease and temptation. So I have finished my last cigarette and going to do this cold turkey. Anxious about it for sure but feeling determined. Everything else I quit in life was abruptly so I came to the conclusion this will be no different. Like @SD2026 said one time I'm an all or nothing kind of person so I'm going to use that to my advantage. Will keep y'all updated. Hope you all are doing well. ♒❤️💯
Wednesday at 12:17 AM4 days I wish you well! Many of us here came to the same conclusion @shy Yes it's hard but if you make up hour mind that NOTHING will cause you to smoke, it is always possible for anyone to quit/ You're NO different!
Wednesday at 12:01 PM3 days Go for it, Shy! Yes, it is hard but it will get better. Take it a minute, hour, day at a time. Do not forget to reward yourself!
Wednesday at 03:19 PM3 days Great to see you back, and give it all you got. Stay determined and give yourself lots of pampering and treats.
Thursday at 06:15 PM2 days Author I needed this. I messed up but I just finished my last cigarette again but this will be my forever quit. Thank you @Reciprocity
Friday at 07:13 AM2 days GdayAn urge to smoke is not an order. It’s not a yes or no question that demands you answer. It’s not a fight you don’t have to go toe to toe. Tire yourself out ….no you just wait.Time always moves on and so you go with it. The urge exists in the moment and within mins it’s gone. And you’re still here and it’s not.Yes of course it will be back…. But here’s the magic it will be weakened cause you waited it out. And here is the bit that amazed me the most. The urges I’d always thought the most powerful. You know the first cig of the day, the end of a meal smoke. Well cause they were most common and you’d waited them out those ones were the first to disappear. Yep disappear cause they lost their strength over you. No great battles just waiting them out.You have the power. You have the time …. They don’t.
Friday at 08:43 PM1 day You got to get tough with it, treat it like a toddler having a tantrum.. Ignore it and Don’t Give in .
Yesterday at 05:22 AM1 day Aren’t you tired of the failure-to-quit cycle? You can be free once and for all! Like @Cbdave said, cravings are not commands… just loud commercials for stuff we’re not buying any more. Swat em away and move forward!
