I saw  dozens upon dozens of pink flamingos in the salt lakes on Bonnaire when I was there some years ago. They eat the small shrimp in the salt lakes and that's why they're pink, the shrimp they eat makes them pink :) There's quite a salt farming operations there.

@Reciprocity Thank you so much for sharing!  You know how they say, "You are what you eat.", well the flamingos certainly are since they're pink because of the shrimp! ☺️  I appreciate the salt farming picture, and I looked up what salt farming was.  Very interesting!
