I did a lot of wind surfing when I was your age. That's like paddle boarding but with out the paddle-- you let a sail do the work. That's more to my taste. And besides, given even a modest wind, you can outrun the sharks! DEFINITELY more to my taste!  :D  Have fun!

Too many alligators here

but, then again,

Doll would like that.

:)

Remember, you are just a visitor in THEIR habitat. If you do get bit, remain calm and try not bleed into the water.

Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen!!

Unlikely that I will get bit as we are not a food source for them I have a better chance of being struck by lightning. ;)

U-m-m-m, DevilDoll? I hate to tell you this--you're not a food source for lightning, either.   :D

I am a conductor though! Lots of piercings ;)

Yes jump, says the little fishy. :)

Have fun DD!

As for me,  I think I will stay on the shore and watch :)

What an amazing experience! No shark :( but I did see dolphins!! :)

How far out did you get ?  Was the water rough, calm or ?

  • Author

I was in the water more than I was on the board S. Lol I suck at balance and I trip on flat surfaces all of the time. No, the water was not calm at all. I was past my comfort zone with depth too. I am a "if my feet don't touch" panicker. I will definitely do this again though. We all had a blast.

were you in open ocean ?  could you see land ?  dolphins !!!!  flying fish ?  photos ?

We were on the beach. Oh no I could see the shore. I think that our instructors took pictures. :D

dolphins are good sharks are good when not near :)

glad you had a good time it looks like fun but the shark comment and this chick aint doing it i tell ya :)

With all the water around you, I bet you could go lots of places on a board.

Do you have alligators ?

  • Author

Yes we do have alligators or crocs (difference?). They show up on the beach sometimes too. I think there was one recently that was hanging out on Tybee.

I love sharks Tracey. Love them. One of my bucket list items is to free swim with a Great White. I was hoping that I would get to see a shark today. There was a tiger (shark) recently tagged near here.

Lmao the only place I kept going on the board was into the water, I suck at balance and grace.

Hi DD....

Sounds like you enjoyed your day.........

And your back safe and sound.....swimming with a great white....wow.....

I have snorkelled around the great barrier reek.....well more spluttered to be honest ,that was scary....but amazin....

Well done....xxx
