April 10, 201412 yr A little bit about myself.............. I came to America in 1984, with $400 and a position as an understudy in a ballet and modern dance company.......... I do have to say that it was scarier than stopping smoking..............because I did it alone, with barely any knowledge of English .......................... A few songs played continuously in my Walkman (do you remember the Walkman?) ................and this was one of them ..............
April 10, 201412 yr For some reason I was reminded of this song today, it's beautiful, it's sung from the point of view of a 5 year old boy who used to get bullied at school... It might make you cry... I'm Luke, I'm 5, and my Dad's Bruce Lee, Drives me round in his JCB... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQDnFTtr2UQ
April 10, 201412 yr Its a little soft at first....but get ready for goosebumps at 57 seconds in. This little gal blows me away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG0lgPvrR0s
April 10, 201412 yr Im a huge fan of the Canadian band, The Tragically Hip. This song "Wheat Kings" tells the story of David Milgaard, a young Winnipeg-born hippie wrongly convicted of the grisly rape and murder of Saskatchewan nurse Gail Miller. He served his full sentence before being exonerated by DNA evidence.
April 10, 201412 yr Last one for today. Vince Gill and Patty Loveless perform Go Rest High On That Mountain at George Jones funeral. The performance, and the performers made me cry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l11oCvBxnQ0#aid=P9a0upDg6t4
