Nice quit, babs! 7 is a great number! And I love the fact that you are no longer counting. I remember when I was in that place in my previous quit. It helps me to know I will get there again. And this

Hi everyone! In 16 days on 01/29/26 I will be 5 years smoke free! I was able to quit cold turkey and haven’t picked up a cigarette or had a craving since. For anyone who is struggling through the first few months of quitting, you GOT this! Just keep reminding yourself of the reasons you’re quitting. Whether it be health, finances, family, whatever. Those reasons matter and you can make it!

A little 5 year update on me. I’ve been smoke free (obviously), my daughter has not only graduated high school but will be graduating college early this fall with 2 bachelors degrees (SUPER PROUD), I’ve just celebrated a year dating my bf in December, I hit the gym about 5 days a week and after a long and frustrating road I’ve lost 75 lbs so far. I’m only about halfway through that journey but still…all good things going on!

That's fantastic @Amy R.  It must be amazing to look back at what you've achieved!  Not just the no smoking but your weight loss journey too!  I can imagine you're super proud of your clever daughter!

Reading posts like yours helps a lot with those of us who are in the early stages (like me). I'll 2 weeks smoke free tomorrow.  I will admit, January is a dreary month anyway but this takes the biscuit lol

Well done and thank you for sharing your journey and giving some of us hope to keep going! 😊

Thank you for the compliment, @SD2026. Three weeks is an accomplishment too, regardless of how little the time span. I feel amazing. Be patient and you will feel that way too.
