Manners For Men

Featured Replies

Wow! That must have been composed a while ago.

The disturbing part is I only passed the smoking chapter because I don't smoke!

The other 24 chapters, I failed miserably 😞 Well, actually I was really close on Chapter 21 Visiting, Cards & Calls. Went down in flames by holding my hat and glove in my right hand instead of the left upon entering the drawing room (Damn!!) What was I thinking?  Everyone knows the right hand is for extending to the host and other acquaintances in the room.

Oh and there's also smoking manners in Chapter 3 "In A Carriage".  That one's tricky. You can't even ask a lady for permission to smoke in a carriage unless you're intimate enough with her to be playing hide the weenie.

Can't understand why I did so poorly on that manners test. So many rules!

My my my how times have changed, eh reci !

I would have failed with the girl stuff,

I am too much a Calamity Jane.

It was entertaining for sure. I figured it was probably turn of the 19th century stuff.

Things are much simpler today in terms of how men should act. Yet as it was back then, today it still seems to mostly revolve around how men should behave in the presence of women. It's much less complicated today in my mind and boils down to treating everyone with respect regardless of whether they are male or female. Sadly, some men still don't seem capable of understanding this. I see male intimidation of women and even bullying happening from time to time, particularly on the internet, where people are basically unaccountable for their words and actions. Maybe I should work up a revised "Manners for Men". - digital version 🤩

If you see me chasing Doreen around and occasionally spanking her on the bottom...Not only is it consensual, she demands it!

Oh yes ... I KNOW that's a requirement that you have NO control over 🤣

I was referring to the real thing, which sadly still does happen.

I've had my fun with bad boys.

Now, I just want interesting, self-sufficient, kind, and polite.

Not a lot to ask.

Oh, since I'm asking....fit, generous and doesn't want to be around much. lol

I'm a fail on fit and generous but I can manage to be gone most of the time 😆
