May 8, 201412 yr Author Laptop is shipped and AT&T is waiting for him to come in !!!! Oh and they gave him a laptop carrying case as their donation. I thought that was so sweet. It's a nice one too. Better than what I have. lol

May 8, 201412 yr This warms my heart. Jimmy is an asset to the QuitTrain and it's amazing to see people come together from afar and help him out. Such a sweet gesture. I contributed a bit and am planning on doing some more later on. :) So happy we were able to do this for him!

Oh no Sue... can you call the bank and they un-cancel it? Luckily I still have my credit card. Now try to explain to you OH that you were giving the money to someone on the internet so they could buy a laptop without sounding crazy - harder than it sounds lol
May 9, 201412 yr I am sorry Sue and Action, around here we usually will get a call from the bank if there is suspicious activity. Is your bank close enough that you can make a cash withdrawal to make it through till the card comes? Perhaps they can rush the card? My bank will rush me my card for a fee which is good b/c it is out of state. I lose my card sometimes lol One time I even threw it in the rubbish at a coffee shop and didn't realize till it was too late.
May 9, 201412 yr My bank let it through - but then declined a different thing today. They then called - before cancelling. Sue, Ross - sorry your bank got a bit carried away.... However - explain to SO that in these fraudulent times it is best to change details once in a while to throw the bad guys off ;)
