December 10, 20187 yr Hey Johnny are you buried? Mother nature has not been kind this year. Hope you are staying in and staying warm. People down there do not know how to drive in the snow.
December 12, 20187 yr Author Wow @reciprocity. I bet you have one big snow blower! I definitely would be moving!
December 12, 20187 yr I live slightly southeast of Raleigh so I was on the snow/rain line. Things weren't that rough here. I used to live in Greensboro where they broke snowfall records and it was all over The Weather Channel. I agree with you...people here in NC do NOT know how to drive in the snow...and I did think of some of Reciporcity's funny snow photos and remarks while watching the snow armageddon on The Weather Channel. Some variation of this image always appears on social media whenever central North Carolina gets any snow at all.
December 12, 20187 yr Author My brother lived in Concord N.C. We were visiting when he was hit with a snow storm. My husband and I could not believe how crazy people were on the roads and how everything shut down. Well glad you did not get the worst of it. Edited December 12, 20187 yr by Linda Thomas
December 12, 20187 yr Wow !!...stay warm folks .... UK wouldn't cope.... We stop when we have a inch of the white stuff....uptil now ..been mild here...
December 12, 20187 yr What is this snow you speak of... I'm sure they are just images you Northies photo shop to confuse those of us in the south.

Grew up with three brothers. I built underground forts, climbed trees and was really good at catching poly wogs. Kids today do not know what having fun is! 2 minutes ago, notsmokinjo said: Does sliding down the macca's Okay, I googled macca's and did not find a result. What is a macca?
December 12, 20187 yr 8 minutes ago, Linda Thomas said: Okay, I googled macca's and did not find a result. What is a macca? Macca's is what Aussies call McDonalds... and most Macca's have a kids playground and you can slide down the tube slides on the brown plastic food trays for added speed. Did you know lots of new menu stuff is tested here, we have a McOz that has beetroot... and we invented McCafe. A few years ago on Australia Day they even changed the signs to say Macca's making us the only place in the world where it doesn't say McDonalds. Edited December 12, 20187 yr by notsmokinjo
December 12, 20187 yr Author McDonalds did come up in my google search but I did not notice the name was different. The age difference is showing. They did not have play areas in them when I was young. I did do a few slides with the grand kids but never on a tray. Jo, you always give me an education.
December 12, 20187 yr A macca d tray in the snow might be perfect @notsmokinjo? ? oh my god I can't imagine my arse ever fitting in a macca d or oven tray. Were we really that little once upon a time?
